i still feel with the right lighting techniques and post process effects cycles can outperform V ray and octane

Definitely! 🙂 With the right lighting and post-processing, Cycles can rival or even outperform V-Ray and Octane.

I love the native Blender flexibility across all its functions.

Maybe vray is not confident about 3ds max future 🤔

it's not a game changer, the case of blender is difference from the rest, most of the blender users are hobbiest who rarely use it for commercial works, because people who use blender they don't use it because it's better than the rest of the 3d softwares like maya, c4d, houdini, 3ds. but they use it because it's free, and all the addons for blender are available at an afordable price, you're crazy to think blender users will pay 400$ only for a render engine! that's not gonna happen. chaos eventually will discontinue the development of v-ray for blender. unless they sell it for half the price of other software.

I don't understand why Chaos switched sides. Could it be that they want to give V-Ray away for free? Or do they want Blender users to start paying? This is truly a joke from Chaos.

@@AlexNguyen_Design They want blender users to pay for vray! but they don't know anything about blender community! blender community will come up with 1000 biased arguments about cycle being far better than vray!
@Velvver-artКүн бұрын
I understand your point. While Blender is popular among hobbyists, its professional user base is expanding quickly. Many studios and freelancers now use it commercially, and for those who need advanced rendering capabilities, V-Ray could be worth the investment despite the cost.

@@Velvver-art I always thought that using Blender meant everything was free; that's what they always said.

@@KosretEbdulrehman Wrong. You obviously know very little or nothing at all of the industry. I teach Blender privately and three of my current clients all work for large companies. One's an advertising and media production company, one's a packaging and clothing marketing company, and one's an agricultural company. In the past I've also had people who worked for a mining company and one of the largest VFX houses in Australia.
