Good build, albeit could replace sanguine coil with spirit wolf with gem which allows wolf heal you when it finishes pouncing (gives a heal but more so builds phantasm stacks for you which help reduce spell cooldowns and may give free recast occassionally for added burst dmg with spells). Also wolf can give a heal and shield if hit target which still has weaken debuf (but that's gem power gacha).

a “caster” build that *doesnt* use illusion dash? like i get it, explosions are cool, but you can get 7 stacks of phantasm just for using your dash normally, which is free spell casts and spell cdr if you don’t get a free cast; especially since this is supposed to be “endgame” phantasm is just even better since you’ll likely have the passive that gives a chance to not consume it

I was thinking the same! But Chaos dash has double dash advantage that is crucial for certain boss fights. It's a trade-off, more spell CD vs mobility.

here after a solo brutal difficulty playthru, beating drac as a spell caster (wanted a homebrew build for 1st clear). I went with the chaos dash probably after gear score 70-ish. the mobility it provides is too crucial, especially once bosses have arena effects (lighting zappers, draculas AoE blood gems, etc). fights are almost a bullet hell, and the 2nd dash is a life saver.

Honestly the 8% movment speed on the green one makes it the best alone but then it also gives you a summon every 4 seconds. Literally broken. The thing is, once youbstack up all movmemt buffs you can basically dodge any bosses attacks. Movment is key in this game as ut plays a little like a moba or mmo tabtarget with bosses

Changed 1-2 things on your axe build and was able to beat Dracula on my 3rd try on Normal. Now on Brutal, I try this build and I don´t have every equipment you mentioned here, but with Lv 78 I´m hammering 80+ incursions and farm big shards for passives and even an orange spear dropped :D I´m looking forward how strong this build is, when I have the optimal T4 jewels, instead of suboptimal T3 jewels, 100% instead 94% scholar and arch warlock amulet. its a great build and plays really good :)

can you solo Adam and dracula with this? Well you did not answered, but I found out that yes. Dracula was breeze with this build on solo normal, with legendary reaper.

Its impossible to have spell crit and leech on the weapon legendary version right ? Its always the same roll ? :/ because enhanced entangling is insane but stats are physical oriented

I'm really not a fan of the whip.. It feels slow and the range thing is annoying to me. I personally love the pistols the best and then the reaper and axes

Loving the ax build but sometimes you just need good ranged as many bosses feel balanced against melee. Going to try this out.

I still love the Axe build as it comes with plenty of AoE and ranged, but this one does hit hard and fast from far away 😁👌

Caster build and you're not recommending either the Legendary Reaper or the Legendary Crossbow that both boost your spells like crazy? If Reaper you can do E then Q to get a bunch of free skeletons to tank stuff for you, a bunch of self-heal, and also up to +30% spell power for 8s!! That would boost this caster build like crazy. Since it's up to 8s uptime on basically 8s cooldown it's almost a perma-buff. The Legendary crossbow has less synergies but still great caster stats and more ranged if that's what you like. The Q is great to apply Weaken on multiple targets which is always useful for your own survival, and then you can either consume that Weaken with E for big damage and a long 2s fear effect. Personal preference would be the Reaper, and then as another commenter said to switch your Veil for the Veil of Illusion to apply Weaken anyway and get a bunch of Phantasm stacks which will provide you even more spell CD and spell CD reset chance.

Legendary mace with ice nova instead of void also works decently as it can crow control well&pile in a lot of extra meleee dmg on top tho this means you mea have to get in too close for comfort Legendary slashers(cloud dancers) also can do ok as it allows you extra move speed and as soon as you unloaded all you got turn invisible and gtfo till your spell cooldowns are reset I also got a funky spell caster favorite of my own but its rogue blood based with the legendary reaper and caster armors&master spell weaver while instead of void i'm using the spectral wolf(leeches life&gives phantasm) and a storm dash that has a gem slotted so it increases elude duration&zaps the enemy granting time to throw the howling reaper on top for copious amount of damage(condemn&static&spawned skellies working together simultaneously chip down even v boss hp with staggering speed)

I ended up save scumming scholar and brute blood using mutate plus reverting to a save before, removing them from the cage just before the mutate that would fail(resets rm) then doingit. Got a 75 brute to 100 when i got to my 4th to last boss without finding even a single 90% brute. Game needs to chill on the rogue blood

For aoe clears I do like the void + the undead aoe.. that just.. makes tons of skellies for me that clear and tank the zone :-) Really nice to play with. To be fair.. useless on bosses as you need to kill the targets to summon them.. a bit sad that most of the spells from undead tree are useless kinda, quite a few bosses either completely ignore them, or just kills them by proxy.

Not as important* Ranged for sure but then based on your preferred playstyle and favorite type of weapon abilities: Want more long range damage? Longbow; Want some mobility and damage? Pistols; Want some CC and mobility? Whip

Been trying to play on PC with controller, and man... it is not good. The camera control is terrible, I just can't get used to it.

I play with a controller on PC. Like a lot of people im not fond of the camera bound to Y nut you can get used to it with a single tap...it's just impossible to run backward and still look at your enemy. And targeting spells/abilities can be really tricky since some monsters are running all over the place and the time you target with a controller the monster moved and you launched your ability for nothing. I really love the game, I play it a lot. But man the controller settings are bad and the gameplay hasn't been thought with controller in mind...I really hope they find a solution for console.
