This is a great way of cleaning the lake off the weed. For larger areas covered with weed, a harvester would be a good investment

This is true. Responsible care would mean that you need to rake the floating weeds once cut. We have several tools for that.

that is what i need got the grass cut and pulled around the edge those lily pad are next waited about 5 feet out got some but too deep after that

I guess its good for as far as you can throw, and pull. That sea weed could be harvested and sold as a garden ammendment.

Doesn't the weed just grow back? Pulling the roots with a rake seems more permanent?

They do end up growing back. We actually made a simple home made tool that you can drag the weeds out with. It ended up pulling all the weeds/roots out and very few actually grew back. We've got a couple videos of it on our channel.

try a hoop of razor wire about 3ft wide , toss it in like throwin a frisby with rope attached .......worked pretty good on a local weeded up fishing pond !
