Muck Away and ther other Airmax products work great IMO. Been using them in a 1 acre farm pond the past couple years and it has really improved the water quality and overall appearance of the pond.

Hey Brock, glad to see you are tackling your lily pad issues with some Crystal Blue / Sanco products. I'd say give it 7-10 days on the Cattplex, depending on how strong you mixed it. Also with the sprayer you may want to try dialing down the spray pattern to a little larger droplets and hitting from the bank... The challenge with the boat is as you move the water it's possible you wash some of the chemical from the top of the lilies. This will likely take you a number of treatments but you should definitely see progress. On the dye, with the muddy water you may have to use extra... I used Muck Away a long time ago but be advised that muck control is an ongoing challenge not something that just disappears off of a single treatment... the container you have there would probably do a shoreline for a beach or dock... I use it all year every year and have used a variety of other products. Hard to get rid of it all and those dying lilies will also sink to the bottom and turn into decayed plants which in turns equals more muck... Keep me posted how it goes! - Josh

I think you made a great choice to chemically treat that pond. I never heard of that muck away but I am very interested to see the results.

I’m really hoping that the herbicide works on the pond lilies as well. They are spreading so quick
@woodruffwoods3 жыл бұрын
@@RockhillfarmYT they are a hardy plant so it may take a couple of applications. I think it is really smart to get rid of the muck. That may also help control their growth in the future. I have feeling that this is going to eventually look great.

I can't find the video showing if it worked out not. Did it? I have a small pond that is filled with Lilly pads I'm needing to get rid of desperately.

This is kind of an older video and I don’t remember exactly what I did in this video. What I can tell you is my pond was covered in lily pads and I got rid of them two years ago. Go to the farmers co-op and tell them you need to spray that will, kill the lily pads without hurting your fish or any animals that drink from the pond. Worked great for me. Here’s a video you should watch about how I transformed my pond. CRAZY Pond Transformation - We Built an Island, Bridge, and Windmill kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4rZZmCjlNOmp9U

@RockhillfarmYT3 жыл бұрын
The Muckaway is supposed to clean it. The dye is purely aesthetic. People just like the water to look blue

@@RockhillfarmYT I am worried that you sprayed all those weeds at once. The decay from them dying all at once could cause a depletion of oxygen. That could kill your fish. I hope not. I feel bad I didn`t mention this in comments on earlier videos. Just didn`t think.
@RockhillfarmYT3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think the pond doesn’t have a whole lot of fish in it already. We tried stocking it some last summer but they haven’t been able to catch much of anything out of there If I can get the lilies out and get some aeration on it we should have better luck stocking it in the spring
@RockhillfarmYT3 жыл бұрын
When I get the excavator again I will still probably drag out whatever I can reach from the bank
@EyezLikaFox̌2 жыл бұрын
I see this was posted 8 months ago. Did killing all those plants at once cause issues? Id imagine all the decaying plants would have caused major swings in the natural balance in the pond
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
Spraying them killed about 90% of the lilies but if you don’t get them all they come back the next year which is what has happened. When they died off it did probably head to the nutrient load and I had more algae this year than last year Nothing too bad. I’ve got some recent fond update videos including the fact my dam is leaking on the backside
