Great bikes, so glad I brought one. And they are such good value!

I made several test rides on the african twin and the v-strom. The engine of the v-strom feels so much better and smoother. I am not a fan of the parallel twins. They are running a bit messy and with the 270 degrees configuration they want to simulate the vtwin engines, so why not buying a real vtwin? So i totally agree with your opinion. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 p.s. in January i will get my 2025 1050de

It's a great tourer for sure, I put 30K miles on the older 1000XT model, and that never missed a beat. Bang it in top gear and ride the torque curve. Servicing is pricy (spark plugs should left alone for 20K miles) as they have to strip a lot off to get at anything. Engine does get smother at around 20K. Anyhoo, nothing rusted or fell off, it was in near perfect condition when I part-ex it for 1290SAS, so they are well built. The DE has all the features I wished my XT had back in the day.

Awesome! How's the 1290 treating you so far?

Süper özetlemişssiniz. Şehir içinde ağırlığı size hiç sıkıntı yarattı mı?

Tesekkurler.

Nice review, im really convinced, but would like to draw your attention to the engine temperature, the V-strom run with higher temperature, and suzuki this time made a digital indicatior in the dashboard, if you are cruising with 120 km /h this indicator shows values between 80- 100 °C, check this in various regimes and let me know
@Riding-RaptorАй бұрын
Thank you. I always monitor the temperature while riding, and it typically stays in the 88-92°C range, unless I'm stuck in traffic or dealing with excessive heat.

@youssefallali716 they do run hot, but doesn't seem to cause any issues

No one buys a bike of this capacity for fuel economy. I have 102,000km on mine so far and it's still going like new. In cruise mode at 4000rpm it is very very good on fuel 400km to a tank easy. But.......I live in outback South Australia halfway between a national park and a national highway, and like to RIDE! As a result I can use double the usual amount of fuel. And it's a ton of fun. Happy trails

the road edition is probably better for most people.
@Riding-Raptor10 күн бұрын
That’s probably true. I didn’t have a choice back then since they only brought the DE version to my country. But if you plan on riding mostly on pavement, the standard version would be better for you.

@@Riding-Raptor it can even do the occasional gravel road with potholes, or jumping a curb every now and then. And this was with the suspension set up pretty stiff, for road use. If I would soften the compression/rebound properly it would work even better, as long as ground clearence doesn't become an issue. I don't think those extra 2-3 cms of suspension travel/ground clearence on the DE are worth it to be honest.

Well, that 21-inch front wheel and accessory bar are pretty convenient, so there’s definitely some value here.
