Congrats for over 100k views on your previous video! Wish you double it:) Im working at this moment at reworked version of your Star Walker. This version would be build with two carbon fiber profile (1cm x 1cm x 100cm) to connect tail with fuselage. Landing gear, the simplest i could do with 2mm thick steel rod and 60mm wheels (x3). I made about 20cm long, 6cm wide cut for cargo doors underneath wing mount. In about week or so i could share results with you and all dimension. Im aiming for flying weight under 2.3kg with 6000 mah lipo and my GT 3526/04 motor (3300g max thrust with 12x6 prop sport version)

What a fine form, flying and affordable machine there you have created. Your aerial video is outstanding, But it makes me want more. I really like the B roll, flybys, the video and audio, the location are better than most I have seen. That prop is massively cool. Please keep your hand out of it, although your technique is as good like Ed's. If the prop was any longer, I'd like to see some kind of aboriginal atalat(sp)? launching system. hehe. Iiii think?

Hello! Great video! What do you meat Autonomous Missions? Is it able to flight for a long range without radio steering? Is it possible to set GPS coordinates in 10km and the aircraft will go there automomously?
@AeroStuffFPV Жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly how you mentioned it, the UAV will fly on it’s command (without steering) to the present waypoints. Hence the DJI footage at the beginning - I was flying the DJI Drone and the homemade UAV flew waypoint missions within 2km distances

I wonder what is the difference in terms of handling and maneuverability between propellers at the back-end and front-end. Is it more efficient to have props on the front?
@AeroStuffFPV2 жыл бұрын
The main difference is speed & efficiency. The pushers (back-props) fly slower and use less power to stay aloft. The stall speed is also lower. Tractors (front-props) are faster but require more power/speed to maintain altitude & stability. But there was a solution in which I made a tractor design with a depron-wing, which made it fly at just over 1h (5A consumption on average) compared to 30-35min of regular foamboard wings (+200gr heavier than depron wings)
@sebastiantomczyk45772 жыл бұрын
@@AeroStuffFPV that's a great answer. Thank you very much for that! Have you ever considered edf? I can guess that answer is probably not because edf's are least energy efficient solution and you aim to fly long range, right? Anyway the benefits from using edf is that plane looks more smoother but probably you dont care about look that much. Have a nice day and once again thanks for your explanation!
@wajeehhasan85102 жыл бұрын
how did you get the propeller to stop horizontally? propeller blade could have stopped vertically during landing
@AeroStuffFPV2 жыл бұрын
Coincidence. Happens many times, but vertical prop landings occur too.

So if you have throttle lock and level flight mode enabled, to avoid prop strike on hands hold the plane in front of you by the wings on the trailing edge with both hands and launch it over your head...also, I dont know how much duct tape you used, but maybe consider weighing it and then as a lighter option use mylar packaging tape...
@AeroStuffFPV Жыл бұрын
I already changed the 14x4.7 with a 12x6 propeller for better efficiency and the risk of slicing my fingers - I always launched it with a regular fuselage throw, my hand had clearance but it always was a nervous throw which didn’t go always right Now I use Auto-Launch and throw it before it throttle’s up and climbs automatically The tape isn’t duct tape - It’s Silver Wingtape from AliExpress, soon getting Gold roles for future aircraft’s

What if you were to design retractable skids, such as on some helicopters, so that as it nears landing, a very pencil thin skid made of carbon fiber of about 12 inches in length would come out from the belly on each side and provide protection to the belly of the aircraft?
