if you did your own home tasks for upkeep and maintenance - you too would want to be respected and appreciated for the work you do. employing someone to do it doesn't mean you have to take respect out of it. and for the pittance you pay, you want to be disrespectful? lol. even toxic companies have 'toxic pay' - work might be shit but it pays a LOT. if you underpay + disrespect, you are just scraping their labour for lower costs due to lack of enforcement. not 'employer' per se - perhaps 'exploiter' is more apt.
