Don't forget it's a 3L V6 Twin Turbo with an electric fill in motor for the launch. Once the battery is discharged it becomes a burden if you can't recharge it straight away/a wait! Hell of a lot of driving to recharge it off the engine/generator & regen braking! Ferrari got it right with the SF90. More power, more weight but no compromises!

It has beaten cars that had 100-200hp advantages over it merely by its superior traction and over engineered flat 6 plus it outperforms everything in its class. Now asking it to beat 1k hp cars like the Plaid on a drag strip or the street is a bit too much but neither will most anything else.

It’s basically a re-faced Rimac Nevera (Pini is way better looking tho) so performance-wise they are the same. Brooks did like 8.58 in a Nevera (if I remember correctly) so it’s the same result taking into consideration different conditions

It's a rare day that I'd take a Ferrari over a McLaren, but I really have something for thr F12... Speed isn't everything at some point. Driving experience as a whole is worth something. The sound of the V12 and the "future classic" design of the F12... I'd be happy in this case being slower. McLarens just use witchcraft to make their cars so fast. I'd take a 765LT over both though!

The crazy thing about this is is that the tuned and exhausted v12 Ferrari, would have been a better match for a 12 year old V8 McLaren12C than the Artura. McLaren is insane fast when you think about it.

Loved the edit on this video. The only thing i dont like about mclarens is that they are underrating their power figures in order to make their cars look better on performance. Dyno testing has shown that the figures Mclaren are providing as crank horsepower are actually whp. So 670 hp for the artura is actually its whp, in bhp it should be doing about 740 at the crank, the same thing happens with most Mclarens. Porsche and Bmw do this too. I actually would prefer them to be sincere. For now lamborghini is the only manufacturer i know which really provide the true hp figures. In the race between the pista and the 720s, the 720s won, but what people doesnt know is that it is actually a 760s or a 770s, in the case of the pista which makes about 710 bhp, it is indeed 710 bhp. I would like you guys to comment on this to know different perspectives and opinions. Anotheir advantage of Mclarens is their low weight.

There should be one unit for hp across the board. To my mind it should be whp as that is real world & more easily measured. The same with weight, a pad under each wheel you roll over before you race. I just like things that does what it says on the tin!

Speed is great, and these hybrids are so fast. But that v12 sound makes the experience something else. As these cars go more and more digital, yes they will get faster but that connection to the car will be lost and sound has a big part of that

The f12 wins for me in looks and sound. I’d assume that they are equally comfortable since they are technically both gt cars. But you have to give mclaren credit. For a twin turbo v6, this thing scoots. Consistent 10.5s in a stock car is pretty nuts.

These Mclarens are crazy...its like they have some sort of dynamic boost, as the speed builds up and you can put all the power down and wind resistance increases, the cars starts raising the boost/HP. Otherwise I cannot explain how they always get a second wind at higher speeds even those without any battery boosts and always beat cars with better p/w ratio... This is some weird sh1t.

Are monsters indeed, but there power figures are being underrated, according to some dyno testings, the horsepower figures of these mclarens, (670 hp in this case) are really whp. When a 765 lt when to the dyno it produced 760 whp, so the car is actually 840 something bhp. My manufacturers are doing this to make their cars look better. I would prefer them to be sincere. Porsche also do this with their turbo s, bmw too. Lamborghini is one of the few manufacturers that doesnt lie about power figures, the huracan lp610 for example really does 601 bhp.

A friend of a friend that works for Mclaren Woking says that most Dynos you see in tune up shps are not that arcuate in comparison to McLaren's high-tech dyno.. I would tend to agree with my mate's friend... McLaren’s HQ Woking Plant has tech second to none, it makes tuning shop’s tech look primitive... 😂
