Awesome seeing Shannon’s realization at the awesome little rock crawler that lies underneath Orangie! Deep down it is still a Rubicon and Chris takes it easy most of the time because he’s out alone. Nice to see Chris doing some wheeling and enjoying it. I agree with the fleeting high vs long time with exploring. I used to go on wheeling runs and they were awesome seeing different rigs go over things. But I was always worried of ruining my own rig for long distance travel. Overlanding exploration is the happy medium between a classic road trip and hard core rock crawling.

Chris & Shannon that looked like a lot of fun. I’ve been looking/wanting a Jeep for several years, but life gets in the way and things get put on that proverbial “back burner”. Shoot I’ve never driven a Jeep let alone ridden in one, but I still have the desire to own one and go exploring. Safe travels

DO IT! Life is short. :) Although one thing you can do, if you go to Moab, you can rent a Jeep for a day just to get a feel for it. Warning - that's what I did, and I ended up buying one a couple months later.

My wife’s daily driver is a 2018 JKU. It is also our weekend fun car. We just did a loop from the California Central Valley over the Sonora Pass , down to Mammoth, then back over the Tioga Pass through Yosemite NP, to the Central Valley. We averaged 24.9 mpg, and had a few 4wd off road excursions along the way. I marvel every time I drive it! The Jeep is a freeway compatible mountain goat! P.S. Well done Shannon!

Great stuff. I 100% agree with the comment you where you mentioned about just exploring. I'm just a little guy in terms of KZbin channels, but I'm doing mine for fun and recently did a trip my wife to fall foliage here in the North Carolina mountains. We called it our no camping overlanding trip because we wanted a little break from planning , etc. and simply wanted to establish a place to stay within 2 hour radius then just travel any and all trails we found in search of fall foliage. We were so blessed to find it, but I can't wait to go to Moab. I also agree that the Tech in our jeeps makes things nice. My JLU is little different, but agree the features are great. God Bless you both.

The titles you're using, I'm sure are FCP, are kinda distracting because they darken the top 25% of the entire image. Go into FCP and adjust the masking on the FX and just using the actual area of the words. Those FX's are best used as lower thirds not upper thirds. Honestly, I've never been comfortable with the motorized vehicles driving over that sandstone. Leaving tire marks that will be there for decades at least.
