Good analysis, but doing comparison using ARAI milage of 19 kmpl is not ideal. I own a 2019 Euro4 petrol AMT XZA+ and my weekly run is 350 km with 75% city & 25% highway. At best the milage I get is 11kmpl. Even the car MID shows a 11.5-12 milage, I did asked Tata service & they also said that in AMT the milage is 10-12kmpl only depending on your driving style. Also the average service with oil, coolant etc is approx. Rs.5500 hence I believe the 5 year service cost difference will be significantly higher for Petrol version, when the costs of Tiago EV service comes out. I have booked the XT long range variant & the math I did was, selling my Petrol version & get EMI equivalent to monthly fuel bill, which is approx. 13K-14K.

4 points which are not covered 1.Comparing ex showroom is not fair as registration and other charges are much more in petrol 2. Section 80EEB gives you tax benefit on interest so if you are in 30% tax bracket you save around 50k( 1.5 lakh *30%) per year so in 5 years you save around 2.5 lakh 3. Comparison is done using AMT version electric automatic is way better than AMT which gives you jerks , u can compare it with CVT version which is around 1 lakh costly (for Tiago CVT not available but generally CVT is 1 lakh costly) 4. Rise in petrol price is much faster than electricity rates Check 5 years data petrol rise is around 90% compared to electricity rates which is around 15%

I shall go for Petrol for following reason: 1. Ev technology is still evolving. 2. Infrastructure issue for charging 3. Upfront saving in cost of Rs 3,40,000 can be invested at better place to earn 8-10% return that mean 24000-30000 per year. 4. Residual value vis a vis Cost of battery replacement (one side petrol has good residual value where as cost of replacing battery is huge) 5. Power performance. 6. In a situation where, car stopped due to lack of petrol/battery...in case of petrol, we can still fill it through a bottle of petrol without pushing up the car to charging point (as u can't take electricity in bottle😁😁) 7. When we buy EV, we will always be in thinking of Break even, to achive break even we ride more and ending up in loosing extra bucks in tours...😁

Few points 1. Price is basically the same if you are considering dct/tc transmission because you will get seamless driving experience in both ev and dct/tc. If you are comparing with manual/amt you can't match ev. 2. Base+x(road tax) the amount x you are giving not to your car, whereas for ev it's mostly your car cost, isn't it great?? 3. Yes road trip is possible, we are not living in ancient society. Charging stations are growing at high speed. 4. Do you think the 100rs fuel you are buying with 100rs, not possible. But for electricity it's in your hand. 5. It's not about ice vs ev. New technologies are emerging in India. let's use it, else we will be left behind.

Driving EV is not only running cost. But it's an experince like you are driving powerful German car. Once you start driving EV car, you will not be interested driving normal ICE even automatic.
