The Best AMT Car I Have Driven | First Drive Impressions of New 2024 Swift

We purchased this car after seeing V3 car reviews and detailed comparison with leading cars from Hyundai, Tata and Mahindra. The ZXI AMT variant really hits all the tick marks. While waiting period was more than dealer said during booking but still, we had our hands on the steering in two weeks, much less than a few other options. I really did not want Sunroof, I consider it a useless distraction which complicates the structural integrity of a car. Further, a good AMT was a must have because it is easy to learn and concentrate on driving for older learners. Also, the big size is not always an advantage, consider parking spaces, mileage and diminishing returns as the size increases for a family of four. The only true competitor left was Baleno. But I really did not resonate with design aethetic of that car, it looks like hesitant sedan which lacks muscularity of the new design of Swift. The selling point of Swift for me was the design, it looks neat yet well finished. The excessive large and shiny headlights of past Swifts had become eye sores due to too many Swift cars on road, the smoky headlights are a welcome change. Overall, I do not feel that the car is underpowered. For all practical purposes of city driving and family car, the engine seems very responsive. And yes, the AMT is as good as the reviewer said. Further, the steering does not have often repeated complaint from past models of not returning to original position when released. Further, the mileage is just cherry on top, its main selling point for me is, it is a well designed car. And it definitely looks better than Baleno. Before this car was launched, I was hesitant to buy Baleno because safety was a major concern with Baleno and comparing the six airbag Swift with older Variants of Baleno is really a plain injustice. I understand there is a premium attached to Swift due to investment in new engine. But come on guys, with all the additional safety features, and high inflation, it is quite unreasonable to demand that new swift be priced same as past models. So overall, it seems like a fair bet to go with this car, and in design aethetic I do not think anyone can choose Baleno over the new Swift. I am sure the new Baleno to be launched will be significantly different from current model and current one will look outdated pretty soon.

I booked swift seeing the above video. Went for the zxi plus though ZXI is better option but I cannot miss out on Cruise control. Swift is car that my wife and me both can drive. Went against all advice of friends and family member to buy this car. Everyone was about " buy suv or micro suv" or do not buy Maruti etc. Went ahead purchased for the same reasons as you stated. This 3 cylinder 4 cylinder debate and how the former is inferior has been going on for a while. Yes, 4 cylinder is better than 3 cylinders, but Maruti's engines aren't made by Tata where it rattles itself death. The 3 cylinder is refined, revs high and has reliability and mileage. Excluding a handful of performance or car aficionados, nobody cares how many cylinders a car has got.

​@@drhimanshupanchal8684 We also getting it as first car, it is yet to be delivered. But overall seems like a decent buy, with low risk and ease of ownership which is a must for first time buyers. Mileage is good and design seems very pretty. Six airbags and electronic stability is good to have. We ordered ZXI AMT variant, hopefully it should remain with us for long time.

updated swift yeh hai,Toh dzire kaisi hogi.Dzire ka interrior better ho sakta hai sayad.I have one swift of2014 model wanted to buy Brezza,Fall in love with Swift again,Crush is Dzire as it looks like a complete Proper Car as swift feels like someone cut it from the backside but still it looks great.Will decide after Dzire lunch.

Based on my personal experience with a Celerio AMT since 2015, the vehicle exhibited significant jerking issues in bumper-to-bumper traffic after accumulating 10,000 kilometers, necessitating clutch replacement. As of now, I have replaced the clutch assembly five times within a total distance of 56,000 kilometers, with each clutch lasting approximately 10,000 kilometers. Additionally, engine vibrations tend to intensify as the vehicle ages.

Zxi plus 10.35 onroad hai.. Isse far far better exter hai with 4 cylender engine,suv, some extra featurs like sunroof cool glov box, peddle shifters, leather seat, ambiance blue light, sharkfin antena, tpms system, digital mid, primium interior roof material, center cabin light ye sab 10.30 me exter me aa jaega but swift me nahi to koi suv lega na hachback kyu.

Very disappointing car. When the Car had a good engine with good mileage what is the need for change. Only 3 cylinder, No Hybrid. High Price, Headroom is less for backseat, uncomfortable for 3 people in backseat. Less Power mean no fun to drive in highway and hills?

​​@@thepoliticalawareness1021 There is no refinement, there are gaps in power delivery of a 3cyl Engine, that's how 3 cylinder Engines are designed but usually they are masked by a torque converter or CVT and this one comes with an AMT, after 10k kms after the clutch wears out the engine judders like crazy. I have seen this in a 3cyl Celerio AMT. I can guarantee that this car is definitely an overpriced of shit. The engine vibration and body sounds will increase like crazy when it ages.
