Safety is a story for another day 😂 People can chill, I'm not a particular fanboy, it's just that in every aspect I see, it only appears like a downgrade. Maruti only focuses on mileage and practically speaking nothing else.. One can get an Ignis or Baleno in the same price range which has more power and 4 cylinder engine, and the Baleno has much better build quality, features, comfort, space and my friend told that Nexa dealerships are much superior compared to the Arena dealerships 👍 PS: It's not an issue if the car is downgraded in few aspects, but the asking price is much more compared to before, and I reckon the Indian bound Swift won't be as pleasing as the European or Japanese ones in terms of build quality and safety...

COMPARISON: I cant see why anyone would buy this over the Baleno unless they're fans of swift and failed to compare all the options. For a price diff of 1 lakh between Baleno top end vs swift top end, baleno gets... Fundamentals 1. Proven 4 cyl 1.2 K12 engine - 3cyl Z engine may be good but we wont know yet 2. More power, more torque - will notice in highway not in city 3. 16" 195/55 wheels - Trust me, it makes a diff with potholes and grip Daily practicality 4. 50L more boot space 5. 360 camera 6. Auto-dimming rear view mirror - Auto car made a mistake. swift doesnt have it 7. Centre arm rest Kinda nice to have 7. Universally liked looks - front and back 8. Heads up display 9. Slightly better looking dash and interiors what Swift has over Baleno is 1. Mileage - apparently. Depends on driving style. 2. wireless charger - I personally never use one

Not a relevant comment- Tata Nexon for the first time in so many months has been knocked out of the list of top 10 selling cars in April’24. It is high time that Tata motors take the Indian market seriously. The QA/QC issues, pathetic after sales service and its incapability to develop a proper diesel or petrol engines are some of the reasons why the consumers are shifting in huge % to other manufacturers. Harrier and Safari are completely gone cases as no one in their sane mind will buy a vehicle to park it in service centre. It’s quite a pity that they do not seem to learn or maybe even care.

Around my area lot of people own Harrier/Safari, but None of them were ever parked in service center other than for routine maintence. I also know lot of tiago, nexon and altroz owners and none of them have described any quality issues as suggested by you. I think one or two isolated issues of poor quality pieces were present, which was blown out of proportion by social media, since somehow the social media algorithms promote Tata problems a lot rather than Positive reviews of Tata or other brand problems. If you research on other brands, you will find a lot of more serious issues with new car rolled out of factory. Moreover neoxn was not knocked out of top 10, they are just liquidating existing stock to prepare for cng and panoramic sunroof variant launch...

@@rps5952 I really wish you were correct in your observations. There are many automotive forums, for e.g. Teambhp, if you go through the posts related to ownership experience of Tata motors cars it is appalling. The sheer number of people who are fed up with Tata Motors and their pathetic service centres is quite large . Something which cannot be ignored. If your friends’ cars have not faced any issues then they are very lucky people because once any problem crops up no Tata Motors service centre will be able to help them.
