Classic + rear ac vent + basic infotainment with steering mounted control + driver armrest, if skoda offer this in less than 10 lakh on road. Then it will sell like crazy. Personally I'll buy one.

V3cars is an understated Auto channel! Great contents for helping buyers as always! Kylaq has an excellent starting price. Although, they missed the bus this time as well. Signature should be made available at 8.99L without alloys or introduce classic plus with infotainment and steering controls. Signature + should be made available at 9.99 without Digital cluster, can be named as Onyx Interestingly, they will introduce onyx variant after a year without these features to match the market demands. Kylaq is a wonderful product undoubtedly. It just needs rejig variants pricing. Bcoz of stupid pricing, Kushaq/slavia/Taigun/Virtus is being sold on huge discounts. When are they going to learn it.

This is the best they could have done , because they are providing well known 1.0 direct fuel injection tsi turbo engine , that koreans start to offer around 11-12 lakhs , even the polo in 2019-21 that came with 1.0 tsi was starting at around 8 lakhs at that time when cars were cheaper.

but not as much compared to honda, honda is known for overpricing and people still buy them saying durability and reliability, same german counterparts have same durability and reliability but also quality and fit and finish. which is why generally skoda prices cars at a premium, how many slavia virtus or octavia owners have you seen complaining about any of these, but yeah i agree signature to prestige is a big high price, probably around 12-13L for prestige would have been nice, with tax would be 15L on road, now top variant is 17L on road , a price point where u can get a lot more options , i think signature or s+ would be the fan favorite and most selling variants, personally sign+ has all essentials at a good pricing tbh, yes 12L is a bit and on road will be 14-15L, but compare to venue, brezza, or others, it's value for money you dont need sunroof, ventilated seats, 17 inch alloys or led projector, it already has led reflectors, 16 inch and defogger, yes sunroof and cool seats are feel good but rare use cases and not necessary for everyday use. so just go for sign/sign+ and problem solved, again i'm not a skoda fan but i like their price strategy, much better and comparable, in that case 3X0 top variant is around 20L on road, even Venue has 16-17L on road, i believe 18L on road for venue n line in some cities, and unlike tata or mahindra skoda service is more premium and better car overall. compared to how skoda previously priced cars, like kushaq monte carlo was 21L on road for example, a price where u could simply take superior suv's like creta n line or something, and despite being a good car kushaq didnt succeed a lot i think kylaq is gonna change a few things, again for budget buyers base variant is the best in segment value for money, and others can get sign+ for value, it's not as much "value for money", but it has all you need, especially reverse camera, hill hold, infortainment, arm rest, virtual cockpit, chrome handles, all are good additions over signature in short, top variant is a bit pricey, ignore it, go for others, it's affordable and skoda is one of the safest cars and i dont think i need to explain the performance and QDR of German cars

Yes, variants are over priced. unncessary features are added which pushed the pricing gap. After a year, they will introduce onyx as mid variant between Signature and Signature + which again for skoda tsi buyers only. Kylaq will be discounted after a year or two like the current models.

Atm, a buyer doesn't want to buy a unreliable car for which VW n Skoda are known for. The big fat bill associated with spare parts has not been tackled yet. Only price for spares needed for service related things have come down by 3-5x. Atm, planning to buy the base variant just for the 1.0 Tsi engine which no one else offers at the price range and personalise it accordingly.

For prestige MT: 1. Electric sunroof 2. Insulated seats 3. Wireless charging 4. 17" alloy wheels 5. Anti theft alarm Which is not worth extra 2 lakhs compared to signature plus I’m closely following all the pages and videos. Overall, most of the cars are in same range. Might be 50-70k extra they would be charging and some benefit by compensating on the warranty. So, in nut shell we would be charging 30-40k extra. Again it is an overall individuals choice in car preference

Yes bro even I checked all its rivals' top end turbo petrol variants, it's the second most affordable in its segment after the venue. Yet these idiotic people expect the Kylaq to be priced on par with a Kiger or Magnite. Most of the people commenting that it's too expensive aren't even on the market looking to buy a car or don't have proper understanding where this car sits. Rather than comparing its other variants against the base model, it makes more sense to compare it with similar cars in its price range. An inherent flaw in this analysis if the company discounts the base model to make entry into segment affordable, its higher models will automatically sound more expensive. Great video btw!

It is expensive, the video literally explained the upgrades per varients don't justify the price increase. If they are sourcing most of the parts locally under the "INDIA 2.0" project as they say, then they are still charging the premium of importing from Germany, and if they are still importing everything from Germany then the maintainace will not be as affordable as they are claiming. So which one is it? Lower models are barebones and at the price of the second top they are competing with Cretas, Seltos, Grand Vitaras and there own Kushaqs which are all a segment above this so not sure who this car is for. I can bet they were not planning this pricing initially but looking at all the hype after introducing the base greed took over.

Well, I was waiting for you. Always amazing content. Skoda ruined it with pricing for above models. It wont sell much. They needed to give signature+ manual at 9.99 or signature at 9.4-9.5 with better feature, signature doesn't even have all the basic feature and it is priced at 9.6 ex-showroom and signature automatic also under 10Lakh. Totally crap pricing strategy, it's time to pack their bags. People have better already trusted famous products in this segment, if they wanted to go to masses they needed to play with prices better.

They screwed the pricing yet again with stupidity. Signature should be made at 8.99 without alloys. Signature + should be made at 9.99 without digital cluster Prestige can be at 12.5L After a year they will realise their stupidiy and introduce Onyx and onyx plus.

You need to compare it with turbo petrol engine of other compact SUVs. Fronx turbo is priced at 10.55 lakh and similar pricing for Venue and Sonet turbo engines. Skoda is giving turbo GDI engine from base model and these engines are not cheap as you can see from pricing of turbo variants from other brands. If they wanted to go after masses they could have given a crappy NA engine

@@himanshujoshi2511 Bro first of all, skoda did say they are aiming for this compact SUV segment to get the "numbers". NA engines arent crappy, many NA engineers are good in the market especially suzuki's. They will attract the niche audience again with this pricing strategy. Rest you are talking about competition, skoda had to offer more which was undercutting the price but they have rather increased the prices. 95% people doesn't care about GDI or Skoda's driving dynamics, and they arent the most reliable ones either. Fronx delta plus turbo comes at 9.7 ex showroom which is pretty much loaded apart from rear camera. Sonet Htk turbo IMT comes at 9.62 which have all the necessary features(proper wireless infotainment and not the aomination which skoda offers in lower variants, with rear camera, drivers handrest, driver seat arrangement etc), venue executive turbo also comes at 9.99 which have all the necessary features even rear wiper, washer defogger just not the rear camera. Skoda isn't value for money at all, at least they should have given the first lot with a decent pricing to let start the sales. They wont sell much with this pricing and pretty sure they will need to offer discounts to even do decent numbers but that will be too late.

Kylaq base and top variant are super value for money considering premium brand name skoda.. only mis is mid variants not priced correctly but i think its their marketing strategy so that they can launch some special editions or model like sportline, onyx or monte carlo in later month at super value for money.. Can safely assume to sell its base variant for more than 5k/ month.

Pricing is absolutely justified. Its an amazing engine absolutely fun to drive. I drive Skoda Slavia 1.0. to be really honest Mileage bhi acha hai Fun to drive hai. I do alot of Highway drives as well. Engine never fails to impress.

Yes Transmission issues, clutch complains, bad fuel economy, and horrible A/C in Indian weather. Notable features of the (world class proven engine). I have a Kushaq 1.0 and just test drove my friends 3XO, it is worlds better, much more punchy. But fuel economy is the same. VW aint that good anymore.

Signature + [mt/amt] variant is good [biggest miss is rear wiper washer] Prestige might justify the amount more but as a customer we don't even need those features of it like - Sunroof, powered seats, wireless charger (its super slow in skoda), white ambient light, 17inch alloys. So why to pay extra just coz it justify a bit more.

Grt analysis. As expected Signature is somewhat vfm for Kylaq, but will be forced to book Signature+ variant to have some basic features like hill hold, rear camera etc. Don’t know if this is a strategy to push customers to buy left over stock of Kushaq 1.0 and then later slash the prices of Kylaq or introduce another variant to balance out.

Thank you Škoda for the base with most features.😅 My budget is 12. But Signature AT crossed 10L ex showroom,13 OTR☹️ Classic is tempting me over signature manual. They've priced it like that😅. I can live without rear A/C and rear defogger for 2L less😊

The cost everyone forgets is parts used are the ones used in kushaq, 5 star safety structure, the quality suspension,the cost of sound deadning throughout car, seat quality, tsi engine with turbo. It's a class apart from venue, sonet. You are paying premium for a premium product. I am a current kushaq 1.0 AT owner. Test drove all from venue, sonet, elevate

All are fine. But sound deadening is poor in skoda 2.0 cars. You can hear the engine noise too loud inside the cabin.

@ not at all. It's dead quiet in cabin. All reviewers have these comments when it was launched. I bought last month. At 120 and above also, no road noise, no wind noise. People inside can talk so easily. It's therapeutic. Plastics are solid, no flimsy or creaky sounds

Astor is a car above the segment of Kylaq in terms of size. But kylaq anyday is better as a car given overall product quality, build and drive/ride quality.

If you don't look at classic varient which is mostly to attract customers, only Signature+ is overpriced. Every car has it's own advantages, you can't compare car to car only on features. The quality and driving experience also needs money. I think Kylaq is okay priced. If you're on budget, go for Classic or Signature else Prestige. And do take test drive before your purchase

Base model , is actually useless bcz for vw and skoda warranty is void if you install accessories from outside. So why some one will buy car that to skoda with void warranty. Than it makes no sense to buy base. Correct me if I am wrong.
