My wife bought a 29" V3X for me as a Christmas gift. I finally collected all of the accessories I needed to be able to shoot it. This is the first bow that I have shot in around 30 years. I will be using mine for the Park City TAC this year. I have enjoyed watching your videos on bow setup, and look forward to a lot of fun at TAC and my first archery hunts later this year.

I am continually amazed at the number of people I meet at various shoots that set up their gear like the a day or two before heading to these shoots. There can be so many variables to work out no matter who you are at setting up. Looking forward to spending a lot of money and time why would anyone not make sure the equipment is in perfect condition and 100% ready. Guess I’m OCD on stuff like this. In every TAC video there’s always several that have equipment issues.

I went out Thursday evening before Oklahoma TAC to do one last check on everything. When I went to dial my sight the entire thing dropped about a quarter inch. I ended up getting everything tightened back up and sighted in the dark with a spot light. Had a great time out there Friday and Sunday.

My TAC set up this year is the V3X-29 with Ultraview UV3XL 2 pin with HHA Tetra and Hamskea Epsilon. And Black Eagle X-impacts with AAE Max veins. Can’t wait

Did you have any windage clearance issues running the uv3xl and the bridge lock mounting method? Basically was your sight housing tucked behind your riser at all?
@jayonez1372 жыл бұрын
@@scottrice1812 I will report back to you on that next week after the build is completed. Still waiting on the HHA UV3 post, Infinite adjust bracket, and HHA short dovetail to come in. Should be here next week. Maybe someone else can chime in in the meantime. I’ve had other sights in the past that ended up being tucked behind the riser tiny bit.

Just curious, why didn’t you swap the top hats instead of moving the rest away from center shot? Also, I’ve been watching the bow builds for years and I’ve never seen you time the cams in a draw board when you are setting up. That could have possibly been part of the high tear issue in this video along with the shaft diameter differences. I’m sure you do but maybe it’s not included in the videos? Also, for tac and asa, do you think bare shaft tuning would get better flight for the longer yardage? I’d love to see a bow build video with swapping the hats and also hitting on cam timing as well as bare shaft tuning.

I like it ! I like shooting anything really . Been doing .22 s after picking up a used Marlin model 60 with the last round bolt hold open , 22” barrel and 18 round capacity which was changed in 1990 I believe to 19” barrel and 14 round capacity . Pretty accurate .22 and I have a few to compare with . Take down is easy too . Highly recommend used Marlin model 60 s .22 or older Remingtons or anything older is so well made . There’s probably 10 bows in the wall and the one I grab a lot is an old 2008 diamond bowtech marquis . Try one or get one 👍👍. Not bad at all . There’s also a matthews I really like too. Compounds last a good while taken care of properly like any weapon that fires . There’s something natural about shooting bows that I like . Like it s a real damn hunt when I go out with a bow . Totally dig the woods 👍👍
