V6 Mustang Exhaust - Open Headers/True Duals

This is my 2000 V6 Mustang. This video was from a few years back. People requested that I post a video after the new exhaust was on and not just open headers, so I recreated the video for you.

Back in 1998 I had a v6 camaro 1994 3.4 v6. I had a cai, full exhaust, pulleys, custom cam, ported heads and different valve train, tune, shift kit , 3.73 gears, ported throttle body, slp shocks, 17inch light weight wheels and 500lbs of weight removed. It would blow the doors off ls1 Camaros, cobras, gt mustangs, any any import at the time. Factory hp was 160 crank , we were hitting 260 at the wheels n/a . Eventually bought A 97 ss and did the lt4 upgrades with a blower to make 650hp . Still loved popping the hood to ford guys to show a piece of shit 3.4 could make v8 power. I wish gm did from the factory what I managed

Ain't nothing wrong with the v6 mustang's sure they're no V8 but you can still get decent horsepower out of them with a turbo or supercharger, and they sound pretty good imo, I have a 2004 v6 mustang and I absolutely love it, saving up some money to get it supercharged.

The Cobra from 94-95 only made 240hp and my cammed GT made a liiiiitttttleee bit more than that. You're about a year late. I have a built 02 GT sitting on 315x35 drag radials and it'll lift tire on a prepped track sooooo 🤷‍♂️

I had one open header for a day cuz the factory weld on my exhaust manifold broke so I had one 2-1/4 straight pipe and one open header. I have an exhaust video if anybody wants to watch

I agree with what the other person said not everyone can afford a v8 and a v6 is alot more economical and affordable and makes since ..I'm not bashing it sounds really really good dude! The only down fall is u got all that sound and not the power to match ..another words if a v8 gt mustang or late 90s early 2000s pulls up with a stock muffler and no mega sound he's gna smoke ya..once again im not bashing I've owned civics and there great and economical but most people can afford to make a fast ass civic so they toss a exhaust maybe headers and haul ass all around gaining speed to pull a fly by..lol I may of rambled on a bit but I think u all got the idea .. but like I said for a v6 sounds tuff dude

Why do these cars have a toned idle but crackle when out in gear? When I start mine up it idles normal and when I put it in reverse the ass drops like an inch and it crackles like in the open header video.

you can make the 3.8 V6 smoke the 4.6 with the price difference between a V6 car and V8 car that hasn't been abused by some uncle Rico looking mother fuel thinking the 4.6 is the best thing ever. the 3.8 is capable of the same power levels for around the same price to mod it the most you will realistically get out of either without spending 15k on engine parts is about 400 to 425 hp at the crank. and that is heavily heavily modified. the V6 will get twice the fuel economy all day long with the same power capability. a 3.8 with a tune, exhaust and windstar intake will run with or beat the V8 car. but the V6 Trans and rear ends are weak. if you want a insane car, take a sn95 chassis and put a proper large displacement pushrod V8 in it. lots of aftermarket support for swaps. I'd take the V6 over the 4.6 any day of the week if i had to choose between the 2. everyone that has a 4.6 car thinks it's the fastest thing ever lol you only make 225 hp and around 290 ft/lbs and that's brand new. lol considering your car is probably dogged to shit by at least 2 other people then I'm sure it doesn't still make that on a dyno. put a mild 400hp 351w in a sn95 that's been on a healthy weight reduction diet and you'll be hard pressed to find anything on the street that will hang with it. 400hp from a small block pushrod v8 is very easy and cheap to make. a 400 hp 4.6 is virtually a race motor that is actively trying to blow its self apart. and the old 5.0s are only good to about 400 hp anything over that and you risk turning your v8 into two 4 cylinders.
