I think if it's a 4.0 you should see if you can get a 4.6 and take the internals from that and cram it into the m60 or whatever you have

What clutch are you running? I have an e39 m5 with the stock clutch, but yours sounds like it grabs a lot better when shifting.

6 speed getrag with a 2.93 diff. Engine is a m60/2 hybrid using all stock parts
