I suggest to not drive without the engine top cover. Instead of using the genuine 986 black plastic cover you can alternatively use the 987 aluminium cover. It fits "plug&play", is much lighter and has a bigger bulge, so provides more space for the engine. Regards from Germany 😀

Great tip! As someone that's in early planning phases of a K-swap for my 986, this is great information. The K-series was a bit too tall for the standard 986 engine cover.

Having a quicker ‘ain’t care’ (aesthetics wise at least) build to work on must be a relief from a longer, more perfectionist build like the Alferrari.

Its just time and a little money. I'm totally self taught. I was shown wood working but fabrication, welding, mechanical, building track cars, I had no help. I just read, watched, did, re-did, re-did again.... lol

So much for "reality TV's" three day engine swaps! When you had the engine on the floor and the gearbox with it, it did look simple- tight, maybe but simple. That should have told us all that enormous problems would soon arrive! But now it does move under it's own power- you've got Murphy on the run, or at least hobbled- don't quit now! Can't wait to see you and Boxster on the track and get a "smiles per mile" report! FR

Incidentally, as others have observed, having a 'no ****s given' (relatively speaking) build alongside the Alfarrari must be quite therapeutic sometimes.

Love your work man your such a huge inspiration to myself and I'm sure to many more of your viewers. Keep it up mate 😁👌 With the breaks being a bigger engine and more power and being a "track car" I'd maybe look into upgrading the Breaks to some bigger ones off a later model Porsche or an after market break set up 😉 sticking with the stock ones you might find yourself running into the issue of break fade on the track and that's the last thing you want when going full noise.

Sounds wicked! Even though it is too loud. You might be able to gain space by reinforcing your engine mounts through the bottom part instead of their top part. Your right side exhaust seems way too close to your shift cable. Now, you need a roll cage. Keep up the good work!

Nice work Jeff. Sounds awesome. Note, my standard 987.1 3.4S smells as well after almost any kind of half spirited drive, so I think it’s a Boxster thing, given the engine position and venting. Once again, I reckon you should do a conversion kit. What a potential weapon this could be for 986 owners! Regards Gavin T. (Aka Torz)

Great Job! Loving that 'spoiler'.😂 If you're going to run it with that much angle of attack, you'll get more lift with the wing camber up the other way. Better bolt that sucker down hard: Can't wait to see how fast you need to go before the car swaps ends.!

The "pink" vents don't look pink to me at all- they look red and match the black nicely I think. Not sure what everyone is talking about it being ugly- I think that Boxster looks great! I love the body mods- they're not too over done but make the car look more purposful. GREAT build- it's on my bucket list- an LS 964 (have the car now) and an LS Boxster. Great build!-- Edit- OK, I stand corrected- I hadn't watched the original video when you bought it as you went through all the "mods". Wow! Door stop aero on the bumper- re-use of cut off "aero" on the lid- the list just keeps going on with questionable/tasteless mods. When I said "not too over done" I was wrong- just way wrong! Luckily many of them are small enough that I hadn't noticed them without your original video!

I’ve always bled power steering with the engine running… You have to have the front wheels in the air so the systems not getting loading up by the dry steering though, and you need someone watching the level in the tank and topping it up as the air leaves the system.
