Should of won 3 straight championships if it wasn’t for Murphy at the cutting. Absolute gun

murphy was jealous of Ambrose success because he was the intended driver for the Pirtek falcon but he didnt want to drive a Ford, its just senseless hatred of a iconic pioneer car maker Ford, it causes hatred of holden, if they didnt hate and were respective theyd get the same in return, its just crazy how holden and GM fans hate on a car manufacturing giant that has done so much more than holden, Le-mans etc world rally etc holden cant rally drive, all these other forms of motor sport that Ford has competed in and been successfull that holden doesnt compete in like world drag racing, John force in the mustang was the first funny car to eclipse the 323 mph barrier in 1996 at the mopar nationals,

His car looked, very "grippy" on this lap. the car takes corners well but also had a "Bouncy/bumpy" appeal going on. Pushing it any harder would have resulted in a big incident. Ambros clearly had a great understanding of how hard he could push this beast with whatever setup they had at the time

Damn he was wringing its neck on this lap! And just listen to that Falcon sing, there's been subtle changes to the notes of the V8's over the years, it was about this time that they started to introduce bloody control engine parts & pretty soon they all sounded the same.
@aerored2525 жыл бұрын
If you go to a V8 supercar race the cars all sound different. Erebus have a very loud and raw exhaust note, The tickford cars even sound different from Shell, They have a very deep exhaust note in comparison. Nissan’s sound different from the rest
@CP0rings332 жыл бұрын
Teams were still playing around with different exhausts up until around 2019 it seems, cars still have subtle differences now but not like before

I heard from a fairly reliable source that the development of the BA/BF falcon supercar was so successful that ford were actually instructed to “dial things back” so the Holdens had a fighting chance of keeping up…?

@@MattL-tp5ruwouldn’t surprise me, even with all the penalties and set backs, he was gaining! I remember the day well. The speed and power of that pirtek car was MONSTROUS! And with some one of Marcos’ calibre at the wheel… Holden didn’t stand a chance
@351clevelandmodifiedmotor4 Жыл бұрын
the sad days of holden,lol and also the v8 supercars had shares in holden thats why they weren't so happy for Ford and marcos Ambrose thats why he left, when ambrose Pirtek falcon dominated v8 supercars learned never let a Ford be on top for long change the series change it so holden can get on top and leave everything the same so holden can stay at the top for years, Ambrose dominated for 2 or 3 years , whincup dominated for 2 or 3 years with lowndes , and mcclaughlin dominated for 2 or 3 years, see the pattern ? Ford is allowed to dominate for a few years at a time then the plug gets pulled , that never happens with holden, theres all these reasons why the Ford teams or drivers left or changed brands but the reason was probably a holden v8supercars gun to their head, why else would you give up a good thing being at the top?? holden drivers and teams at the top stay there for 10 years etc and in 2023 its so obvious what v8 supercars is doing, they have shares in Chevrolet because holden is DEAD they want to keep GM beating up on Ford like road runner always beats the chayote ,is pathetic and obvious, why be a fan of hollow victories????

Who would have thought that Paul Morris would have a Bathurst win to his name, and Ambrose never will?
@dinosshed5 жыл бұрын
Lady Luck has her say and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Morris stuffed the falcon into the tyres the year he and mostert won, nothing but Lady Luck on their side for that moment and Whincup running out of fuel. Was a great finish

Flashback. Ambrose never wins Bathurst but his enemies in skaife and Murphy clocked a few between them. He should have driven a Holden
@nhraandnascarfanatic59072 ай бұрын
And how many years of driving was between Murphy and skaife at the time… 35-40years?? And how many championships did they have between them… 5?? Ambrose was 5 years in and would have had 3 in the bank if it was for Murphy… I think the ratio speaks for itself. Regardless of what brand he drove, that guy was something else

Ambrose one of the best drivers in V8 Supercars, V8 Supercars never gave anyone that drove a Ford a fair go. The politics in this game ruins the sport. Reason I don’t follow it anymore.

Ambrose wasn’t as good as what people thought… he just so happened to be blessed with a car that was far superior to the others for 2 years straight, then in 2005 when the competition started to level out again. He got dirty.. how else do you try to get to the front when you’ve just coasted through 2 seasons with no one challenging you to sharpen your skills?? We are seeing the exact same thing with SVG now.. that’s why he’s off to nascar.. *left hand down, wreck as many people as you can*. Its Deja vu
