V8s Extinction Rebellion: Mercedes C63 & Lexus 430

We have 3 cars, each with a V8. We spend about $2700US on gas each year. How long until all we have is gas-sipping, electric buzz SUVs?

2008 SC430 here, 38K miles, I get 21 MPG! My 2020 Ford Edge with a 2L 4 cylinder turbo gets about 23 MPG. Crazy huh? As of today 11/2/23, regular gas is $3.25 a gallon here in NJ

My GS400 V8 gets better mileage than our RX350 V6. I looooooove my V8 GS! (also in Edmonton BTW)

07 sc430, 94000 miles. 29 mpg U.S.@ 55 mph. 23.5 mpg @ 75 -80 mph, premium, only regular maintenance. Good for another 100,000 miles. With 100,000 miles driven, I would be ready to throw away my second EV. A smaller engine with turbos isn't worth the minuscule increase in mpg for the increased maintenance cost.
