This car, along with the 67 Dodge Coronet R/T, are the first actual "badged" muscle cars from Mopar. Even though you could get the 426 Street Hemi in a Plymouth Belvedere/Satellite or Dodge Coronet/Charger in 1966, the base engine in the mid size Mopars in 66 was the Slant Six, 273, or 318 depending on what specific model you bought. In 67, the base engine in the GTX and Coronet R/T was the 440 4bbl/375 hp V8. A 67 GTX is one of my all time favorites

Very nice car, but there are a few things that are incorrect. Electronic ignition, coil white lettering, tailpipe tip clamps for starters. All 17 total cars still exist. There were seven 4-speed cars and as mentioned 10 automatics. One to see up close is at Okoboji Classic Cars, located in Okoboji Iowa. This is a good video. I was fortunate enough to own one.

It's Plymouth version of Pontiac's GTO which they named GTX

Sounds like it has a gear drive in place of that cam chain.

They sure *look* wrong....but I did some Googling and have seen other '67s with the clamps positioned the same way ....so? I dunno. Maybe a Mopar expert will come along

Tailpipe tip clamps are incorrect, but the blackout treatment of the core support is correct as is the sway bar.

The engine doesn't sound right, it has a whine to it...
