VA-86 "Sidewinders" on CVA 66 USS America '72-'73 WestPAC Cruise

I made my 2nd westpac, 1971 with VAQ -132 EKAB A-3's on the USS America. I worked nites 7 to 7. I saw in this video that the EKA A-6's were being used but couldn't make out what 'VAQ" squadron it was. The America being a east coast based carrier was more laid back and was 1 foot longer than the "E" boat (Show Boat) lol. We shared our ready room with an A-7 Squadron but I can't remember which squadron they were. My first Westpac was on the 'USS Enterprise 1969 again with VAQ-132. Thank you for your video.

Loved this video, and the music. I can relate, I served during Vietnam aboard USS Enterprise 1969 VA 215 A7B squadron Airframes keeping AC flying. Brought back a lot of memories. Thankyou
