It’s always a rod bolt those stock rod bolts are so stupid. IV taken a bone stock brand new Subaru apart just to put arp 2000 bolts on the rods. Was it worth it well it made 400 wheel torque for 67,000 miles. Those little bolts are definately worth every penny. I’d do the rod bolts before head studs every time. IV actually never had a head stud fail usually something else fails before those do. Like the crappy stock rod bolts.
