@@mrkareem75x68 update. It was full 4 months after my last C&P exam before my claim was decided. A total of 14 months. I had another claim take 18 months to complete.

It’s a waiting game but I went fast I filed for a secondary claim had. A c and p exam within 3 weeks and 1 day later it was sent to decision They say that’s a good thing everything must of been in order. So I’m hoping for my dec is great 🎉

Hold tight. I would recommend you give them a call to check the status every 1-2 weeks to ensure things are moving forward. Sounds like you completed your C&P exams already, and just awaiting coordination of information between the VA decision maker and the provided information from the C&P exams.

Mine come from the BVA. And by their regulation when it comes from the board of veterans affair, it’s supposed to be expedited according to the regulation and they received it back on December. No sorry February of this year from the board of veterans affair.

@@rickmccarroll9993 BVA policies are going to be a lot different, unfortunately we have seen those decisions take years in some cases.

I've had my cleaning for 2 years this past April for my hearing loss myptsd and my migraine. I have never received a decision nor have I ever been given a c n p exam. Every time I ask my vso or call im.told under review.......

For the claims that are presently being processed it has been 8 years for the decisions on some of the claims that I’m waiting for. Now just to be perfectly honest I’m already at 100% partly due to cancer from the Agent Orange that was showered on us in 1969 , and now I’m dealing with a neurological conditions that appears to be spreading everywhere in my body along with a new brain tumor, VA is claiming that there was no evidence of injury while in the Vietnam combat that I was in. I have sent tons of medical information that I have found in Missouri and while searching I found out that there is a lot of medical information that their trying to restore that takes a long time to do by drying and separating pages. I was told by one person who works there it’s called the BLUE BOX RECORDS and for what they found 7 years ago I have managed to get a few important documents, but also remember that before 2001 VA was not required to help you locate your records, then after that they were given orders to assist for me it took them 36 years to finally get most of my records to me, along with letters from Senators and Congressmen who I had written and no sooner than that my records were delivered but as I have said previously there was a lot missing!

Had a favorable BVA Remand Jan 25 2024 (PTSD - MST Related). Very strong worded order by the Judge that there were egregious DTA’s and failure to review medical evidence. Judge Ordered private medical records be submitted to him and the RO. Judge requested they do a records review and another medical opinion, he said another C&P should only be initiated if absolutely necessary. They got those said 76 page records that prove diagnosis and the sexual rape/assault within 2 days after orders was received. They already had medical evidence prior and lay statements from service members and SHARP unit. As of today (07/17/2024) still pending in the Stage 3 Evidence Review and Gathering Stage since March 4th 2024. Pounding my head at the wall. Like hello you clowns, you got the records 2 days after the order was sent and it’s now July almost August. Incompetence at the RO office that it takes that long. They got everything they need with a bow wrapped. So disheartening and frustrating. Just did a service request few days ago asking them to fix that issue and acknowledge they have the records. Timeline as well for those on this Channel reading. Intent to File: Aug 2017 RO Denied Oct 2019 BVA AMA (Evidence Docket Route): July 06, 2020 BVA Remand (Favorable Order) : Jan 25, 2024 Medical Documents sent Jan 27, 2025 Pending Stage 3 Evidence Review since March 4th, 2024. No movement since then. Used VA White House Hotline Inquiry & Congressional Inquiry both send that it’s pending.

I just want to know if I was disabled before I was 18 & my father fought for our country & his death was due to him serving in Vietnam and I am homeless and the VA won't help me why is that

We're sorry to hear about your situation, but if your father did not die as a result of a service-connected disability, you will not be eligible for DIC benefits. (Dependency and Indemnity Compensation(DIC))

Have you completed your C&P exams yet? I would recommend calling the VA weekly for a status update to encourage them to move the process along.

@@preparetocompetepodcast so, yes, sorry 😔 just saw this. I ended up talking advantage of my unique situation. I'm an O3 with the Reserves serving in an active duty position, so I just Googled the VA, found a high enough ranking dude, figured out his email, sent an email from my military email address laying out the situation, including the MST incident. A call from a DC number came thru by the close of business that same day, and 5 days later, my exam was scheduled. Ten days after the call, I had my exam, and three weeks after that, I had my rating (3 days after I posted my original comment)! It pains me that thousands of others are in similar situations but don't have the same option, but I'd suffered through the process of taking "regular channels" long enough. My phone calls to the VA call center always ended with the same thing "it still hasn't been assigned". I actually just got referred to the Army's Medical Evaluation Board last Monday, and since I have a recent VA rating, my rep says that should streamline the first half of this process quite nicely. So I took advantage of the unique situation - being in the reserve component, serving in an active duty status, I sent an email from my military email address to a high ranking official within the VA that I found on a Google search. I laid out my situation, including the MST event, and my anguish of dealing with the regular channels, all I was getting was the same response that it was sitting stagnant, unassigned. By close of business that same day, I got a phone call from a DC number. 5 days later I had my exam scheduled, 9 days from that I had my exam, and and just under 3 weeks I had my rating! I'm grateful that I had this option, but it pains me knowing that thousands of others are in similar situations that do not have that option. That being said, I was just about at the end of my wits. Fast forward to last week, I was revert to the army's medical evaluation board, and now I have a recent VA rating which my rep tells me will greatly streamline the process. Thanks for checking in!

Increases are the only claims that seem to move quickly. The rest of them take far too long.

Hello again Right now I’m going through something and I believe that it’s because of the tumor on my brain, I already have PTSD AND now, maybe it’s all psychological or maybe I have become a hypochondriac or maybe I’m just losing my dam mind? But whatever it is I feel like I’m being consumed by whatever the hell it is, I’m on 15 different medications and pain meds none of them do I like or want to take! I’m aware that it’s taking a toll on my marriage slowly destroying my 49 year marriage and chipping away at my mind and ability to do what I know I can do and have been doing most of my life, I’m 72 years old and I have never been a weak person or the type that just runs away gives up simply because it was hard to do, if anything it would just make me work harder to get it done. But today my motivation my determination my sense of accomplishment or desires seem to all have just left me altogether and I don’t like it at all. I have spoken to my doctors about all of this and I’m going to see another one to get a fresh perspective, I have to say this or maybe it is me asking, does anyone feel terribly different after Covid and since Trump has come down the escalator with all his hatred his division his desire to as he said DOMINATES and be president for life! I don’t know about everyone else but with myself when I look at him or it I see EVIL AND DESTRUCTION And I wish he would disappear forever, if I have upset anyone my words are not meant to disrespect anyone it’s my opinion and what I’m feeling in my heart about D Tor D= Devil J = Judas T= trouble

Have you completed C&P Exams yet? I would recommend calling the VA to stay on top of them regarding updates, otherwise sometimes the file just sits.
