You know before I even played piano, I heard this song and I promised myself I’d learn it and play it at St. Pancreas

@@theemeraldsnake I haven’t learned the piano yet but plan on taking lessons soon. This is the end goal for me here. If I learn this song I will be super happy. Maybe one day I’ll be able to play it just like you👍

So sad that modern society can walk past such a beautiful rendition of Clair De Lune for so long and not stop in their tracks to appreciate it. It's full on half way through the song before anyone stops to admire the talent and beauty of what's transpiring. Even then, two that stopped can't even get their heads out of their phones. Respect to the old gentleman in the brown jacket and backpack. He's the only one that truly appreciated the experience. I'm sure he would have been there from the start, if his timing was just that little bit earlier. It was evident he was going up to congratulate the young man before the video abruptly ended.

@@theemeraldsnake A little tearing here too :) Clair De Lune always provokes that response when it's done well. Thanks for posting the video and best of luck to you!

The amount of people who just walked past -oblivious, too busy glued to their mobile phones to notice, astounded me. Absolute philistines.

Great job from Washington DC! One of my favorite classical pieces and you nailed it!
@theemeraldsnake5 жыл бұрын
cherngjai thank you so much! Artistically I put my own spin on things by slowing down the beginning and making the middle louder than what Debussy wrote. I’m really glad you liked it :) would appreciate it if you shared this video around 💚💚

I love how the man talks on the intercalm during the first sorta crescendo around 0:40, Some might think it was bad timing. I rather find it very atmospheric

the fact that nobody stopped to listen angers me. this is such a beautiful piece, and takes quite a bit of time and effort to learn. i started this piece today, i’m only half way through the second page, and i can tell how difficult this is to play. i’m nowhere near as good as you play it. hats off to you, my friend. you did an absolutely amazing job. edit: i just want to mention i’m not trying to show off that i can play. i spent three hours straight glued to my piano practicing this piece. it was really difficult, and i still have to work on making it sound better and cleaner. don’t take this as a way of saying you can’t do this, because you all can. i believe in you. ❤️

It's sad there aren't as many Brits who care for classical music and the exceptional talent it requires. We don't seem to care as long as we know there's a bottle of alcohol at the end of the journey.

A wonderful rendition of Debussys piano masterpiece. Would prefer less sights of London footage and more of the talent on show. Can't believe so many people have no soul or ears. I would've stopped transfixed had I been there and made sure to encourage others to take a while to enjoy this wonderful musical treat.
