1 wave only for Robbo in 25 minutes? Doesn't sound like the conditions were suitable for a final let alone Olympic gold.
@bfrost973 ай бұрын
Sure conditions weren't very consistent but robbo pushed kauli into that first one. There were also a few waves he let go unridden so he wasn't very proactive himself.

Medina only go5 one in the semi too. Depressing
@davewells69353 ай бұрын
I think the 3 waves ridden would've been a couple of minutes apart but Kauli looked red hot. So did Jack but it would've been tough even if the waves did come. Shouldn't have had the rest day maybe

Not fair for the other three surfers fighting for a medal with somebody who knew every single angle of that sea.

Well the same could be said about the American surfers in Los Angeles in four years or in Hawaï if it's organized there. And it would have been unfair for Kauli who has trained hard these last few years not be allowed to participate

The IOC care so much about surfing they ran it on a junk day instead of waiting till the final day of the waiting period when the forcast is great.
