I caught a total of 8 rainbow trout on nightcrawlers. I got a nice drive-by visit from “Johnny on the trail” and then my pastor from church came and floated the river with me. I’ll have the links posted below

Pastor Matt Caldwell of Olivet Baptist Church: Facebook: / olivetbaptistknoxville

Wow Scott that was a dandy little fishing and kayaking vacation. Sure was a beautiful place. those little rapids must have been a bit more gnarly in the kayak than it looked on camera. You had a few spots where you hung up on the rocks that I was surprised you didn't tip over buddy. Those were some good looking trout.........Take care, Bluefin.

Yeah, there was a few times I got a little scared, because I thought I was going to tip over. I had a good time though. Those trout tasted pretty good too.

That was an excellent adventure.... Those rapids looked pretty narley.. I wanted to get out and push you a couple of times... To help get you off those rocks... Haha!! That fish don't get no fresher... I love that catch and cook!! One of my favorites ... no matter what kind of fish. Thanks, Scott..... for bringing us along.... That was fun!! ;-)

I think I could’ve used your help with that perch off of the rocks. LOL. That was the first time I have ever tried eating trout or went trout fishing. I think that was some of the best fish I’ve ever eaten

I really enjoyed this adventure. That river was beautiful and full of fish. You need to take me there. You are going to have to get a kayak anchor. It can be as simple as a barbell and a rope. I'm glad to see you get a bonafide fishing kayak. Embrace the rapids.
@SalineScott

I would love to take you there, Steve. I don’t know about a kayak anchor in those swift waters, but I still need to get one. I am loving this Jackson kayak. I’m going to make another video tomorrow and Monday while I go out and do some fishing in Soddy Daisy with another KZbinr. I’ll embrace those rapids, but I need your new Kayak to embrace them with. Lol. That’s a nice one.

Ah Townsend. Know that area well. Lived in Alcoa (Alcoey locally) for 6 years. Used to get out there to that valley and surrounding valleys regularly. Thanks for the memories and the river ride in particular brother!!

This was a great trip and video. You were Gettin um👍🏻 I love trout fishing. I'm sure you noticed all the little hair bones. But an old guy who lived on the river showed me how to score them with a knife. And it made all the difference. I didnt even notice the bones after scoring them. And if you fry them they realy disappear. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏🙏

You had several close calls thought you were heading in the water! 45 degrees is not water i'd like to be in. I've wanted to winter kayak for a long time but its not something that I've gotten around to doing and probably won't. You caught some nice fish. All on grubs?
@SalineScott
@SalineScott 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I almost flipped it a few times. I was just worried about losing my gear. The water temperature got up to around 57 or 60 as the week went on. I caught all the trout on nightcrawlers. The guy that caught the 2 1/2 pound smallmouth was using a grub.
