Nice video as always. I've not fished since I was a kid. I need to get back into it. Especially with the fleet of boats I have. I got to take my Bite angler out last week based off your reviews. It was great. Stable and tracked well, yet handled very well even maneuvering in some class II stuff. Its the boat I wish my Native manta ray had been. I sold the mantaray and only paid $700 for the 2021 bite. Cant beat upgrading for $200.

@@tgcanoesandkayaks I can see where its underrated. Its a bare bones simplistic boat compared to other jacksons. However I'd not thought of it until I saw you raving on it. I needed a boat for scouting rivers. Ones where we expect to come across big logjams etc that require portaging. I wanted a quality boat that was both lightweight, stable, yet maneuverable. I'd looked at some perceptions and others but I wasn't terribly impressed as the build felt cheap. Then I looked at the bite. It ticked all the boxes with the added benefit of having a reasonable capacity too. This lets me take a small saw, fuel and other gear when I'm not wanting to take a larger boat when working on the river. It blew me away with my initial impressions on my first trip. Sadly the water temps were about 45 degrees and 50 degrees OAT so I didnt do full testing of its secondary stability limits and standing up and trying to get out of it against a log, but it seems like it will do well with its stability. Having the stand assist strap is an extra bonus.

Trying to decide between the Jackson bite, Old town 106/120 for a small lake, slow river kayak thats i can stand out of, whats your opinion?

@@traucorp.9318 at your size, all three would be good options. You should be able to stand in all three, the bite will be the most stable followed by the 120 then 106.
