Fun fact: this watch took eight years to design and make by three different watch makers, 10 patents were filed in the process of making it work, the design drawings in total weigh 16 kg, 85 prototypes were made (that were all functioning watches on their own), and the project cost millions of dollars.

When young I was in a team in a drawing office of Chatham Dockyard putting together the proposal drawings to build submarines. When there is little room to play with, coordination with other people is of utmost necessity. I can say that the team who planned this marvellous piece of engineering had many sleepless nights.
