Hi Martin, your video helped me. It works after changed the 334K X2 capacitor. Thanks a lot!

Hi, glad to hear that it works again 😎👍 just for info, do you have this vacuum cleaner plug-in all the time or only when it is used?
@syadrc17Ай бұрын
@proexservis plug in only when im using it.

I had exactly the same issue on a PD82-green Electrolux vacuum. Replacing the 334k x2 capacitor fixed it. The electrolytics were also somewhat out of spec, but replacing them (first) didn't seem to have any effect.

Yes, most of the time it helps to fix this issue, sometimes both capacitors are faulty. Do you have this vacuum cleaner always in-plug?
@fbjon11 ай бұрын
@@proexservisIt's usually only plugged in when used, but occasionally it might stay plugged in and laying around. Would transients in the power grid or something like that cause failure of the filter cap?
@proexservis11 ай бұрын
@@fbjon i had few vacuum cleaners here (2-4y old and almost always in-plug) and all had this issue, so it can cause it, depends on grid.

You can measure it during operation, if vacuum cleaner does not work at all you can measure cables from cord winder and motor on PCB contacts. Usually if this capacitor is faulty, vacuum cleaner is turning off after a while or on higher power, so capacitor cant hold voltage.

Hello, I have the same problem as you decribed - its working, and sometimes works for 30seconds and when I move vacuum cleaner stops working or sometimes only after few seconds. Can you tell me, what is the part you changed, so I can find it on internet? Thank you for your help

Hello, if you are not able to repair your circuit board then you have to replace board 1181970391 (if you have UltraSilencer model without remote control handle). If you are able to repair it then you need capacitors 334(K) X2 and maybe 224(K) X2 too.

@@proexservisThank you for your answer - first I will open it, and see what is wrong because the whole board is around 45€, for sure it would be cheaper just to change capacitor. Thank you for your help, I will contact you If I have some more questions :)
@proexservis11 ай бұрын
@@vodussek cheaper board is from UltraOne model (1181970094 - compatible with UltraSilencers), but then range of suction power will be only from half to max, because from half to minimum is still minimum.
@vodussek11 ай бұрын
@@proexservis Good to know, most of the time I have full power suction, so I don't mind if suction starts from falf to max. Thank you for you answer, and all your help!

Thank you for telling how to open the case! For me it was the very small tactile switch (6 x 6 mm) for on/off that where faulty. Power on worked sometimes and also the power could go off randomly.

I changed the whole pcb and it fixed my problem but I wish I'd watched this video sooner and I'd have tried changing just the capacitor.

Glad to hear that it helped you, but sorry for that at the same time, if it was your case, that you had only faulty capacitor. That one video (which you find first) is older (almost half year later I was able to confirm this solution, turning off problem is caused by capacitor) and usually for ppl who dont have soldering gun or are unable to replace just the capacitor is better to replace whole board. How old is your UltraSilencer vacuum cleaner?
