@@annabritton9176 thats an excellent question. Oddly i dont find it scary, im repulsed once i leave my house. I can only control but so many things so my work area, my home i keep immaculate and constant disinfecting. If i dont do them then i cant relax thats the compulsion component.

​@@annabritton9176 I have OCD as well, and I do find it scarier. What if I have chemical cleaner on my hands and it contaminates my guinea pig and he dies? What if my family while driving gets into a car accident? What if my friends don't actually like me and they're all lying to me and hiding things from me? What if all of my friends abandon me? Or get tired of me? What if my guinea pig dies tomorrow and I'm not there? What if my oven is still on, you could start a house fire! What if you left your guinea pigs cage open and he escapes and hurts himself?? All of this culminates into me obsessively checking things over and over again, tapping on things 7 times because my brain is convinced it'll prevent bad things from happening. Or I wash my hands for 20 minutes to get whatever contaminant off my hands, sometimes it's a full shower, there are also vocal compulsions, repeating words, or washing a dish for just as long. Just constant anxiety basically, and when a bad thought or intrusive thought hits, it just keeps repeating over and over again no matter how much I want it to stop. I know my compulsions don't make sense, I know it's illogical, but I just can't stop, because "what if?"
