Yes, Oreck did mass produce this model and sell a lot of this version. My mom bought two Oreck comb kits from QVC. The Kirby Classic was getting to heavy and she ordered the first Oreck from QVC in the late 90s which was the basic one with no headlight but they talked it up BIG TIME as the Helping Hand handle being a QVC esclusive over the standard handle. The in 2002 she bought this combo because she didn't like the foot switch on the right side of the unit when behind it and no headlight. She ordered this one with the white Buster B vac. QVC didn't offer the Iron but they did usually sell it as a combo with the Buster B. Don't quote me but I think most of the 2002 units were sold as 40th because they seemed really pround of that fact. Not to mention the volume of products QVC moved. They still have but don't use it much anymore after I got them a Kirby G5 in 2007 when I loved out and took my G4 as she liked it the G Series better. I found of the 40th Units at my local Thrift Town like 15 to 16 years ago for like $20 bucks. When I got it home found it was super clean inside and was either barely used or had recently been serviced.
