Issac, what you’re doing is amazing! All of the other open source robots I’ve found are well beyond a college student’s budget. Thank you so much for making this all available, and the documentation is so well done! I’m curious, what’s your education/background? How did you first get in to robotics?
@isaac8795 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I've always loved making things, science, maths, technology etc. So I ended up doing a general engineering course at collage. I enjoyed both the mechanical and electrical side and also wanted to learn some programming so then chose to do a degree in robotics engineering at university. There wasn't anything specific that got me into robotics, it was just where my interests lead me.

I want to design a robotic arm and what I most doubt is how to make it precise and not shake when it moves, I have seen several videos where they are made at home, but they wobble a lot, I would like to know what factors are to avoid that, The type of motors that I use, or how is the control of the motors, it would be very helpful if you could explain that to me please. Thanks

Sir if i want to make a robot which can detect small 3D objects and pick them up with some suction mechanism, is there any way i can do it without using LiDAR sensor as it is very expensive?

This seems pretty smart for a budget option vs those dc motor kits I find on aliexpress. Where do you source this type of thing btw (the suction cups)? I feel like 30 bucks for one of these kits must be significantly more than the sum of parts you get.

Hahaha love the cheeky puns thrown in. Amazing project. Inspiring! Any sources or videos that helped you with learning more about inverse kinematics?
@isaac8794 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I learned a lot of the kinematic principals from my university degree so I don't have any sources. Tbh it basically just comes down to a lot of trigonometry and practice!

Hello Isaac, I managed to build your awesome delta robot, but I have a small problem. One of the Gripper parts is missing, the one that help me to fix the gripper to the "End_Effector_No_Bearings" part. Can you help me with this issue??
@isaac8795 жыл бұрын
Hi Miiamin, I'm glad you liked my delta robot! I'm not quite sure what part you are missing though... Can you clarify what the part is or take a screenshot of it from the video? Fyi the "End_Effector_No_Bearings" has holes for 3 M3 nuts (square) and bolts that tighten into the central hole to clamp the tube into place, in case that is the part of the design that is confusing you?

@@isaac879 cool I was thinking of building some thing similar to what your doing but useing thease actuator instead of servos www.thingiverse.com/thing:3167952
@isaac8795 жыл бұрын
@@mastermoarman Sorry, I must have missed your reply! With those actuators I imagine you could achieve much higher positional accuracy and have the robot be a lot stronger. FYI I'm still working on the vision side of things, I've just had a few setbacks but hopefully I'll have it working properly soon...

Excellent. I saw it draw some patterns on screen of table. however, can it draw a perfect circle?
@isaac8795 жыл бұрын
Thanks! When drawing on the Ipad I was controlling the movements with a mouse and just drawing random shapes. It can draw reasonably good circles but not perfect ones mostly due to the servo accuracy.
