@@I_double_u I meant about Vadivelu especially. For example Vivek's comedy is more general in style. Even others who don't know the language can follow it with subtitles and appreciate to some extent. But Vadivelu style is more acquired. Parallel example in Hindi Johnny Lever style and Paresh Rawal style. Paresh Rawal's comedy will be more accessible to foreigners. In Malayalam I would say the comedy of Mamukkoya and Jagathy. Most of Jagathy comedy scenes will be appreciated by all. But to truly appreciate the talent of Mamukkoya in comedy, it helps to have a cultural background.

yeah, his dialogue and timing with tone turns so funny. he is a legendary comedian of India from tamilnadu. he has no hater all over India and loved by everyone he is the south India's meme template. his expression and acting are a such great thing to watch. after Tamil comedian legend Gowndamani, my favorite is Vadivelu the most skillful actor. there are many Tamil comedy scenes but poor translation in English is so different that you can't understand the jokes of his.

Fun fact: The comedian actually broke his leg in an accident before the film and opted out as he cudnt walk normally. Tye director didnt want to loose him. So he added that fight scene where he is beaten up, and walks abnormally for the rest of the film. It became so iconic, that in the directors next film 'giri' the comedian explains how he got beaten up ( refering to this scene) which is another iconic comedy.

I mean, vedivelu is portrayed as getting bullied by a bunch of tough guys in the beginning, and then he is portrayed as insulting an old woman and then misbehaving with a young girl. To be brutally honest, even I find these scenes slightly uncomfortable sometimes😂, as a native Tamil speaker who lives in Tamilnadu. So can't blame you. But that's the point. Vadivelu is mostly portrayed as a funny bad guy who gets beaten up all the time. That's why it's funny😅
