Two compatible people, cloudy skies, not many tourists, an extremely affordable beach village, a broken google maps (which sometimes can be a blessing), wonderful Filipinos, and great food...well, I'd think you both are WINNING! Dan, thanks to you and Qiang both for describing Puerta Galera. Looks like a hidden gem. Edit: Listen to Qiang! Pizza is for the hands!

We spent a few days in that area. We stayed mostly away from the tourest areas. Roamed around the town, market and back streets. We tried swimming but the water was too cold in March. This was like four years ago.

Im a curious Filipino retiree teaching US history before.30 years working in company what i got a 15k a month in peso about just a fourth of what you received.pension here comes from SSS or social security system.GSIS or government security... when working in national government. In the states am surprised just in the mid 50s transfer to Asia and received that big amount of pension? I may say it is a privilege to be a citizen of the fourth of July republic. Having a pension of 1500 to 2000 dollar here in the Philippines is really big.i can even support the college studies ofmy grandson 😂 hahaha.

@@titosarmiento8333 yes, and after i retire my daughter their can get 50% in what i am athorized in my SS. Up until she turns 18. I just have to apply for her dual citizenship so she also gets SS card number. If i pass on then she will get 75% of what i am authorized

Hello Dan, I have been to Puerto Galera. I enjoy your videos. I just don't understand why you don't include medical in your reports. For example, costs of a dental visit, doctor's visit, average prescription costs. Places like Puerto Galera may not even have certain facilities(ex. MRI,,) so travel to Luzon may be necessary. You always list "alcohol". Whoopee! I rarely drink. Retirement and medical go hand in hand, don't they?

I would go used just to reduce the theft and worry about a new paint job or depreciation. I would pay in the range of $600 to $800 for 3 to 5 years old. Get it checked out by a mechanic though.
