The traditional English way to eat these is with clotted cream (which is a cream that is so thick it is almost like butter) spread thickly on top, and strawberry jam or preserve, and yes, a cup of tea with milk to drink with it.

I tweaked this recipe slightly- Add chilled cubed butter instead of soft and pinch the butter till it is crumble texture (incase it is melting put in fridge for 2 minutes).This ensures that as the scones are baked the butter melts ans gives a crispy flakey feel. And instead of just 3/4 cup milk, i put 1/4 milk powder+ 1/2 cup milk.This makes sure that we get a more decadent scone. I baked these for 20 min at 180° and 5 minutes at 200° (for extra browning)

my scones turned out very hard & didn't rise even. I took all the exact measurements. I tried twice the recipe on the same day itself but was disappointed.
