Hi pal. Another awesome video, you covered everything perfectly 👌 I noticed that the replacement return pipe you are using is all one piece, the return pipe I have is in 2 pieces like the flow pipe, what's the difference? Can I still use the one I have? Hope you can help? Thanks again for producing such detailed, informative videos 👍

Hey, yeah you can still use that. It’ll be the same as fitting the flow pipe, you’ll have to play around with the positioning as they twist and move

@@advancedboilertraining Excellent, thank you. Will I still have to fit a black (blanked off) fitting on the pipe that connects to the heat exchanger? Cheers pal

Alan Wilkinson Hey, no on that one you don’t need to. It’s only the one in my video that you need to put the black plastic tee. Hope that helps

@@advancedboilertraining That's great, thanks for letting me know 👍😊 One last request (hopefully lol) could you upload a video showing the burner insulation removal and replacement? Thank you for all that you've done, been really beneficial and much appreciated 👌

Alan Wilkinson No worries, bear with me on that one got a few things to do but I’ll get it up asap for you 👍

My boiler has the pressure sensor down by the canoe filter, The F75 kit I have bought relocates this to the top next to heat exchanger and comes with a loom insert, new pressure sensor and circuit board plugs to lengthen the sensor wire. There is no cap/bung in the kit for plugging the pipe if you remove the old pressure sensor at bottom so do I just leave the old one in to act as a bung? If so do i remove the sensor plug to the old one also? Thanks

Hey Pete, yeah you can disconnect the old one and just leave it in if you don't have the blank plug. Makes no difference👍

@@advancedboilertraining Did it today after your great video thanks and wasn't too hard if take your time. Couple of tips I discovered which may help further = you CAN get the new flow pipe in WITHOUT removing the expansion vessel pipe or gas pipe/burner door if you wiggle and rotate it enough. Couple of gas safe bulletins about corrugated black condensate pipe causing CATASTROPHIC LEAKS, it can pop off the push fit connection to the bottom of heat exchanger so secure with a jubilee clip easily while you have all this apart. condensate pipe can melt where it can touch the new now hotter copper return pipe you are putting in place of the rubber one, I reused the old rubber pipes we removed, split them lengthways and fitted them round the copper return pipe with cable ties as a protection sleeve where its close to condensate pipe, did same where flow pipe close or touching the silver gas pipe.Left the old pressure sensor in place as a blank and the wire connected to it - the new piggyback look that comes with the F75 kit seems to allow of this being still plugged in. Great advice thanks again!

@@petemaltby2491 amazing to hear you done it ok! That’s an interesting idea I’ve never thought of (using the old rubber and putting it around the return pipe so it doesn’t melt the condense pipe). I know what some people do is use a small self adhesive hook, stick it to the back of the boiler casing and then cable tie the condense pipe to it so it’s away from the return. But as always, there’s multiple ways to do the same thing. Nice job💪

Amin Sajawal yeah breakdowns can be quite competitive, especially when someone is always willing to undercut your price. I found that if you focus on building a great reputation it helps you a lot

Great video mate, I’m training as an engineer now so haven’t got any ground experience yet but I’ve got the exact boiler and it’s currently leaking from the flow pipe (where the pin is). It initially had low pressure but was able to solve that but now it’s leaking from the flow pipe. What can I do?
@advancedboilertraining3 жыл бұрын
Wrap a little ptfe around the pipe (including the washer), grease it and then push it back in 👍
