In 2005, I was really fortunate to get the opportunity as a student journalist to interview him at the Boston Film Festival, along with Shane Black, the writer director, for the debut of their film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I got to sit directly across from him at a small conference table, with 4 other college students, and get 40 minutes to ask questions, and found him to be incredibly animated, entertaining, and insightful. I appreciated this video where I see more of those familiar traits, and was glad to see in his Amazon doc, that despite his illness, he has still maintained a great sense of humor and a desire to entertain.

Well don't! I read a long but interesting blog about Kane being very 'creative' and 'productive' with all the batman stuff, and everything stated in the blog was supported with evidence/material so you get to dive in all the shit that happened. While Keaton and Bale are my favourite Batmans, Kilmer did do a pretty decent job. I mean, he wasn't amazing but he wasn't terrible. Honestly, I think Batman (and Two-Face} kinda got shafted by The Riddler. It seemed like Schumacher was too obsessed with either Riddler or Jim Carry, and just kinda added Two Face and Batman to kill in the blanks of when the camera wasn't focused on Riddler. I like Carry, but it was a waste of Kilmer and Jones' talent.

I used to like Batman Forever more than Returns when I was little because it was more fun, but nowadays Returns doesn't bother me as much.
