The boom-bust nature of Rugby performance by Australians doesn't quite ring true. We produce athletes like the Swiss make clocks. It's almost like administrator's egos foul the nest after a spell of good outings trying to claim some of the credit, who can always point at the 'cattle' and not themselves. Wouldn't be the first time either. We're a weird mob.

Played for the NZ Barbarians along with Ken Catchpole. Enjoyed keeping his book on "How to play rugby." Great all round sporting and academic family.
