Community feedback appreciated: What do you guys think about the direction of my channel lately? I went back to the roots of my channel, so one take videos with one camera angle, only with a better camera, and long descriptions to provide some additonal information about my life and/or guitar playing. Do you like it that way or did you prefer the multi-camera videos that I tried out a few months ago? I know that you guys are interested in tutorial videos and similiar stuff but I decided against that as it would take time away from me writing music and just enjoying it. The way it is now is the best compromise for me personally. But I still appreciate the feedback from you guys!

i'd be interested in how you practice tbh! and any original content you write up too man!
@IslamFalmi4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure we all have a longer attention span watching multi-angled videos, but I'm not that particular and tbh if I dig the band/song or your playing, I'm gonna watch it in its entirety anyway and I think I speak for most viewers. That being said, nothing wrong with a straight to the point, no bullshit one take video!

Less camera means more authentic feel of the playing imo, also awesome picking as always, cheers m8

Dude, your playing is a joy to witness and the descriptions are always fun to read. I personally like the camera setup you used on the Scorched cover, but please do whatever you feel like as long as your playing is entirely, centrally visible.

I would like to see your whole everyday practice sessions, without cuts. For self educational reasons, you're huge inspiration. Stunning ability! :O

I know the "only one angle" type of videos can seem boring to some people, but it's the best format to see little details like picking patterns and fingerings.
@ToxicTerrance3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I hate it when the camera pans to fingers when I want to see the picking at that particular moment. 😂 Weird peeve of mine but yeah.

Holy shit yes, it has been getting soo bad in the past years. But with everything thats being filmed. Just lookt at chris turners drum performances, or jason richardson or teemu mäntysaari fortin playthroughs. Like, i wanna see the guitar performance and not have some dumbass camera man put "his own spin on it"

Impeccable playing as usual, and I really enjoyed reading your detailed description of the technique involved. My tremolo picking has never been that great, but maybe I can improve it by trying out some of what you were describing.

Hell yeah, Vale of Pnath slays! IMO, The Prodigal Empire has some of their most technical material, but I still prefer II.

I'm a big fan of the current one camera setup, it feels more like a playthrough and less like a showcase. Do you have any Defeated Sanity stuff in the bank from Passages? Seems like the only covers out there are from their early albums, other than the couple of Naraka.
@KevinHeiderich4 жыл бұрын
Okay, yeah, I feel like my regular viewers just want what they are used to from me, "boring" playthroughs :D Hm not really, when the Passages came out I was not really into tech death anymore so I never properly listened to it until a few years ago. Was always a Psalms and Chapters guy. We also didn't play anything live from the Passages except Naraka. They sent me a tab of Martyrium though and there are a few songs that would be worth it I think...
