I love this pattern and just finished the first mitten, I used the same thickness of yarn and it's not as dense as I want it so I'm going to double the thread so the mittens are thicker. Love your videos! You should do a really cute pair of finger gloves next.

i made one of the mittens but they came out to big for my hands. would love a more condensed version. do u know the measurments for childrens hands. i already created the matching hat i love this pattern.

Try the next loom size down. I think it's 16 pegs? Also try pulling the loops tighter for the e stitch. Not tight, but put tension on the yarn when you wrap. They won't slide down the pegs very well, but the results are much cleaner, tighter stitches. Also once you go to slip the loop over, you will notice that it actually feels loose even though it was sitting tight against the peg. You can also look up washing instructions for you yarn and shrink them a bit in the dryer according to the instructions. You can look up a tutorial on how to do this.

Try the next loom size down. I think it has 16 pegs. Then you just kind of have to math it out for the thumbs and the pattern. The thumb would probably only be one stitch smaller on the smaller loom because of peg sizes and spacing and such. It's probably just a trial and error thing. Do a practice one with cheap or left over yarn.

You could check out some other KZbin tutorials, too. I think some other people might have found a better way to do the thumbs. I haven't figured it out myself yet, but I would suggest searching for it. I'm planning on it myself

A veces KZbin pone los subtítulos automáticos, para cambiarlos desde un celular: tiene que ir a la parte derecha superior de la pantalla, apretar en los tres puntos y en la ruedita elegir el idioma o desde el computador ir a la parte de abajo derecha y en la rueda puede cambiar el idioma 😉

Well, using your hand as a reference works pretty well for the most part, at least size-wise. You can also count them out loud. Sometimes that helps lock the number in your brain.

I like to wrap my loose ends around the start peg. I hold that with my left hand underneath the loom, and it keeps it out of the way and puts a bit of tension on the last loop so I don't have to bother securing the last loop in each rown.
