I was at the game, the offense did not have a proper game plan and the defense looked completely unprepared. The players looked like what are we supposed to do? They were trying to do what Patricia said to do but it was like they knew what he was teaching and it wasn’t affective at all. Cooter has no idea how to run a new offense, they should have lined up and ran the ball all night and using play action when they’re off guard. All they did was pass all night and leaving Theo Ruddick to be the primary RB and it was obvious they were running because they brought in a different RB.

I'm not sure if the same thing goes for this outfit, but I know that he wore that outfit in bright red in NE so that his defense could easily find him for play calls. Seeing that everyone on the Lions sideline wears blue, maybe he wants the same thing he had in NE. Either way, he needs to win football games. In NE, he wouldn't sleep a lot because he was studying plays, creating formations, etc. As you said, the Lions have been a garbage franchise for how long? You can only hope for the better, maybe this year is part of some master rebuild (filter out the weak points...)

You can tell during the game The Players did not want to play for the coach then when he finally does something right and challenges a call on the field it doesn't get overturned then the players quit completely (SOL) it was sad, it's pathetic to see grown ass men not do there job the best they can cus they dont like someone. With that being said I still dont know why Patricia is even here didn't bill call all the plays and make all personnel decisions and why an OC wouldn't change anything from verbiage to hand signals. Patricia didn't throw 4 interceptions- should expect better from a 10 year QB. Patricia's problem is that he ran into a team with a losing mentality. I use to be a fan for decades but now I just laugh at them. A carousel of coaches, different GM's, top draft picks, etc. The mentality of that team which seems to be tolerated by the ownership and is built in is what I believe is wrong with the team. They want a coach that will not be too hard on them and does not believe in discipline. The results are what you see on the field year after year. They are quite satisfied to go through the motions and collect their pay, no one really expects them to do much winning wise, and the fans, they keep coming.

Unpopular opinion: This team is full of pampered candy-asses, who would rather play for Caldwell because he wanted to be their friend. Patricia came into town, and beat them up, so they quit on him. I have nothing to prove this, just my thoughts. Caldwell would get you into the playoffs every other year, but never win a playoff game. Patricia came in like a hard-ass, trying to change everything, and basically everyone in this organization from Martha down (Quinn excluded) are trying to do things the "Same ol' Lions" way, getting the same "Same ol' Lions" results (losing 48-7 on MNF). Matt Patricia may not be the guy long-term, but I think if the team bought in from the beginning, they might take a step backward, but ultimately 2-3 steps forward in the long run. Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward. I have a feeling that if Patricia/Quinn survive this season, JBC will be gone (sacrificial lamb), and they will not be resigning a lot of the veteran talent (TJ, Tate, etc).
