1. It doesn't memorize your last power level. It is actually programmable: 5 half click or 9 full click to switch between high and low initial level. I prefer to have high as initial. 2. It can now officially take the 3.7v 10440(AAA size) lithium battery because it has now a protection circuit, the old i3T model didn't have that. And with that lithium battery the max power is almost the double at 300+ lumens. So yeah, buy a pack of 3.7v 10440 rechargeble batteries, this will make this flashlight rechargeable and super powerful. I always keep one fully charged 10440 lithium battery with me to have peace of mind and given its tiny size, it perfectly disappears in my EDC pouch. 😎 I just love this new i3T 2. It's too dim for hiking, outdoors activities in general or self defence, but for everyday carry and use, I find myself constantly reaching for it and even for a walk in the park it is enough. For more extreme situations I have my Imalent LD70 EDC or my new Nitecore EDC33, both with 4000 lumens. I just wish they'll release a titanium or brass version as soon as possible, with some extra weight to add on and no paint to wear off. That would be the PERFECTION.
