I love VUI. I remember that the sales girl from the store promoted to me this fragrance, sprayed on my wrists and I did not like it. I went out the store, 2 hours passed and I kept smelling it, and it turned out to be more and more good. Went to the gym, and during the workout, the fragrance, in contact with the heat of my body release that orange/mandarine note that it has. I immediately realized that it is great release. My girlfriend loves it on me, also my ex used to do. I wear it in the summer too, with 2 sprays in the morning I am ok for the rest of the day

Love this one. I am a big fan of Iris in fragrances. Some say it smells like lipstick, but I find it soft and powdery which gives off a sense of sophistication and class. That said, I do prefer Dior Homme Intense scent profile better. Both are very similar, but DHI is deep, rich, and you get a nice cocoa vibe. VUI has much better performance though over the recent DHI formulations and it seems a bit more fresh and clean, probably due to the citrus and vanilla notes in VHI vs. the ambrette and vetiver in DHI. I use DHI for casual date nights and when I want to get compliments, and I wear VHI for more formal attire or want to feel classy.

I have both Valentino Uomo Intense and Dior Homme Intense but struggle when deciding which to wear.... DHI has a much longer lasting iris note whereas VUI the iris fades away after an hour and it just turns sweet. The opening to VUI is much better but DHI has vastly superior performance and projection. Just food for thought, good review.

I bought a few samples this week as terre de hermes has been my signature scent for a few years but i wanted to switch it up a bit for winter here in the uk... I bought Killian Black phantom .. Pdm layton and this valentino uomo intense and for me the valentino beats them all... A real masculine deep freshness which is honestly in its own lane. Its not often i smell a parfum that doesnt remind me of another one in one way or another but this is exactly that. Buy it.

James Wilson valentino uomo intense is sweeter and definetely a winter fragrance, prada is a bit fresher (still a cold wearger fragrance) but i find it more versatille, i think both smell amaaaazing, valentino has better projection tho
