Thank you! That's a tough question.. I love both of them.. But a lounge bar.. Summer time.. Makes me wanna reach for Layton more than Side Effect ;) If it's daytime then I would definitely "over spray" a bit or AT LEAST carry an atomizer with me so I can re-apply that beauty of layton every hour or so :) Enjoy that lounge bar, sounds amazing! :)

This one to my nose, does open like dhi, and the dry down smells just like the original uomo edt. Vanilla takes over suring the dry down.

This has been one of my favorites for a long time . Sadly it says discontinued on the Valentino website so I had to buy backups . I agree it is a sexy, elegant fragrance that will always be in my collection!

@@rottenrebels yes, it is a blind buy as I haven't smelled intense, but loved the original Uomo. I'll definitely have to share my thoughts. Fragrancenet just takes 3-4 weeks to get up to Canada, though 😅

@@rottenrebels Got it in a couple days ago and tried it out. I quite like it. It's a lot like the newer reformulated 2021 Uomo, but a tad...darker. probably from the patchouli and nutmeg. Over all I'd say the base Uomo is slightly more versatile, but the VUI is probably better for the budget since it is edp and I only need 3 sprays instead of 6-7.

I noticed you showed a different new bottle but you actually taste the old bottle. I want to know if you have tried the new bottle new formula of this fragrance?? The original the same you have in your hands it's and iris bomb I forget how much iris is on it I think my bottle as age wonderful!!! They are different smell but both of them are verygood in terms of projection and longevity , Depends on the season and where you are gonna use it .

This is a masterpiece. Im lucky that I got the 2018 batch before it whas sold to Loreal. Sinds loreal took over the production its like they watered down the fragrance.
