I hope they add more mobs and mounts in future updates, it'd be cool if we could get a new wyvern type we could ride or maybe somehow tame ice drakes later.

that would be outside of valheim's spirit imo, boat would not make sense immediately, which is a key part of the game right now.

I think the shield meter represents your 'stagger'. If it fills up, you're going to be totally open for attack.

The shield next to you is your stagger meter. It is based on your HP and when it is full, you become staggered. Its apart of the shield and HP mechanic rework. The more HP you have, the harder you are to stagger making tank builds more viable.

This is the one part of the update I dont understand. Every other game with block/stagger mechanics uses stamina. It will still work but kind of odd they chose HP

@@KrimsonChief agreed, a little odd but since stamina is tied to attacking more often, it's a trade now to either spec into attacking more often or blocking more to absord more damage so you aren't punished for trying to tank hits and only having stamina to attack once. I didn't think this was an issue before this update but... Maybe it will work? Otherwise maybe they will change it later.

I was very much not expecting to see mounts in this update, wow. Looks like they're not much faster than the player character, though they seem to be super tough and have a great attack. I wonder what we'll find they are best used for. Can you attach a cart to them?

They do have a huge Stamina pool so I think they are good for long journeys and will help save your own food and supplies from being used up. But yeah I was not expecting to see a Mount for a long time yet. I thought about testing the cart but tbh I think it would get wrecked the first time you hit sprint they just plough through everything. I didn't try it

@@ThePilgrimzProject That's a good point about the stamina. I suppose just the fact that the mount exists is reason enough to have one, too, lol. I suspect pulling a cart is not a thing, but I'll try it tonight. Thanks!

This is the best, and most unexpected addition to the game at this point. Ever since I 1st encountered *Halstein* my 1st thought was "Man, can't wait to ride this majestic beast". Mad props to IronGate for adding this so early.

They need bears and horses. Bears spawn in black forest, horses in meadows. Horses can be attached to the cart and you can attack by using your melee or bow. Bears can attack while mounted or following. Just an idea, this is awesome.

I'm definitely going to have to revisit this game once they're kinda done with it. Adding mounts makes a ton of sense and what they need is more worthwhile progression from bosses, so instead of just unlocking another boss by beating the dragon for instance; being able to use his horn from the trophy to call a flying mount drake would be amazing. Fenrir is missing from the game also, so can you imagine beating him as a boss then unlocking the option to mount him? So many possibilities and I hope they add mine!

That is way too OP, maybe the game is gonna get something harder in future but that feels like there is no challenge in most fights now lol. Although there isn't towards the end anyways

well...you need endgame materials to build saddle. so by the time you obtain it you've already almost completed the game anyway

I used commands and accidentally got item spawn a saddle and says “ click to use “ and nothing happens 😅🤷🏻‍♂️ I supposed am I missing something here? 🤔

I would have liked it better if they had just given them inventory slots and a "follow" command. I need a pack mule, not a ridable creature. Also wish they could be bred for meat
