@@padrescout Looking through the trailer again there are a few things to spot. Arches for walls, trim, and actual drinks for the tankard. Even if those are just visuals for the animation, I feel the trailer is a hint that Moder will bring an important role in the update since they use Moder's head in the treasure room, the house, and the trailer. I think the trailer is a hint. I cannot agree with the showcase of nothing. Outside the trailer when Iron Gate/Coffee Stain showed off some of the items for Hearth and Home there was plenty of content shown in the updates made by the team beyond the treasure room. I spotted a cutting board, cast iron skillets, bowls, more placed foods and items stacked on each other, growable onions, an oven, a wooden wolf head for decoration, new roofs, bucklers, windows, a new treasure chest, a wind chime, and a few more things I probably didn't notice. I would say my expectations are going to be met and exceeded. Iron Gate and Coffee Stain have done a phenomenal job so far and they give me no reason to see otherwise. I'm sure there will be plenty to enjoy!

Figuring when they were broke they designed a game and completed insane amounts of work until the day they became rich, then went to a total stand still and off their previous game track I've lost alot of faith. This is one of the better games I played this year, home and hearth isnt a update its a builder's pack. And as much as I like variety for building it don't change the game enough to go back. I'll wait for the next update. Hopefully they get it out soonish and I can play during my winter slow months maybe after Xmas. I'm just tired of money destroying games and ambitions, should be the opposite

Even if they're buggy it's fine cause it's early access, but I fear that this update is too little too late. I'm still excited as shit for it though.

I was stoked and had total faith they would produce gold. I'll give it time, I really will. I just think 90 percent of us won't pick it up till there's a major re-release or insane additional content. And I'm kind of at a lack for understanding on why it has taken them nearly 3/4 of a year to release some new materials for building and try to fix a useless shield:) I want to see it go far, finish and re-release with massive mod support. I want it bad.

It's because they have an identity, a group of people who work together like one. Just because this game broke Steam records in it's early access state, it should'nt mean all the money they made should go to pumping the game. Making games costs millions upon millions of dollars. Having that capital when you finally wanna make a new game is key. Most small companies, no matter how good one of their games was, fails because they don't have the capital necessary. The game isn't even tiny, it litterally has 150minimum amounts of hours of gameplay. More than 90% of all games ever made. The graphics were a choice they made. I personally prefer the graphics as they are right now.

Also i think a lot of the people are like me, played it when it was big and put it to the side until the new upgrade, havent kept up withthe game until now. Theres probably a loud minority of people who kept looking for news about the game who are /were complaining. Edit: People exist that want to get 1k hours out of any game, no matter if its early access or single player or whatever, and they get mad when they run out of stuff to do. Most sensible people played what valheim had to offer and played something else afterwards waiting or not for the new update.

@@TheHarrisontemple I actually know dwarf fortress and you can't compare those engines in development time directly (also not having to work with a team makes progress per person faster too, thats why modders can work faster if they have the free time). but let me ignore that point. as I have said in other comments I'm not saying that the valheim devs are doing great, progress wise. but I'm also not saying they are doing below average. your statement about a leader is curious. these are devs that obviously did this because they loved what they are doing, with no time pressure or stress from higher ups in sight. now that they have hit the jackpot, why should they change their pace and their workflow? they are not doing less, they are not doing more, why should they? they have clearly communicated what they want to do. on the one hand we condemn the current practises in the game development industry and crunch culture and on the other side people expect the results that require it. I don't understand it

Muito mais que um game! Faz mais de três anos que eu não vejo minha família, que está no Brasil e Valheim foi basicamente a "desculpa" pra eu convencer o meu primo a jogar algo comigo, e assim, naturalmente conseguir conversar com mais frequência com ele. Bom, desde o lançamento nos juntamos pra jogar quase todos os finais de semana (pela dificuldade do fuso horário), e mesmo não tendo atualizações na velocidade que gostaríamos, ou tendo beta de NW etc, combinamos que íamos jogar sem usar cheats ou mods desde o início, e que por mais que a nossa vida esteja corrida (eu com 30 ele com 40 anos) o foco seria o Role Play, e claro, manter esse contato praticamente semanal. Resumindo, até hoje estamos construindo nosso castelo no topo de uma montanha de gelo e pelo visto ainda iremos muito chão pela frente!
