Springting everywhere is no issue except in the Mistlands where you can not see the enemy. All other cases just have situational awareness and you are fine. Terraforming used to be a massive issue, which is why people still think of it today. Before they patched it there was a memory leak that related to terraforming where the game would constantly remember what the land was like and what you did to it, and it would constantly cycle this every time and add onto it already doing this. Thus that regions memory files became massively cluttered and laggy. Also the randomness of the world gen is part of the fun. If you know what the world looks like then exploration isn't really that interesting.

If you sprint to half way empty, then let it regen before doing it again, you will be sprinting for the same amount of time as if you sprint to empty before you let your stamina regen because it will take longer before it's full. Just two days ago, i saw people fighting Yagluth and it took them an hour to bring him down to half HP, because all they were doing was running in a circle and shoot an arrow at him every now and then. I saw that so many times. Also in the ashlands, i would highly recommend not using the feather cape. Regarding #2, running in a biome also can generate noise, particularly in the dark forest. Pray aggro if you’re not careful. #3 just is silly to me. If you’re loading items into a furnace, kiln, whatever, you’re talking about a second or two of time. It’s barely going to impact anything in your gameplay. If you’re desperate for seconds in the game, I question what you’re doing lol. Personally, I prefer to not aggravate my developing arthritis as a gamer. #6, good advice, however, I would add that you wanna make sure you break your boat down in shallow water. There are 2 essential mods that make Valheim much more enjoyable: AllTheBases (or equivalent) allows you to tweak many values but the most useful is stamina. Small changes in stamina consumption and regeneration make a huge difference in playability. Teleport Everything (or equivalent) affords the ability to transport ores (and other metallic precursors) through teleports. The dev's seem hellbent on forcing players to either A) Create entire mini bases (kiln/smelter/forge) or B) setup wagon/boat supply routes. Both of which are needlessly grindy.

I already have a fairly big base. What if I make separate smaller bases attached via portals? One for farming, one for ore collecting, smelting and armor making, one for resting? Would that help with lag if they aren't in one spot with the cpu trying to render all that at once?
@SpazzyjonesGaming6 ай бұрын
Yes exactly! that will work nicely. That is my strategy too exactly
@joet71366 ай бұрын
@@SpazzyjonesGaming I will try that then. My game starts out very laggy at my main base.
@lukesherwin41376 ай бұрын
This is what I do somewhat. I prefer to have a portal hub away from everything as I find that portals cause more lag than a lot of things. I have only 2 portals in my main base, the main one linking to the hub, as well as my emergency/nameless portal right next to my storage and crafting tables so I can dip from a boss fight or resource gathering to quickly repair things or drop off stuff. The only issue with multiple bases is the pain in transporting ores/metals and other non-teleportable objects to and from bases potentially far apart (unless you play with ore teleporting on, but I’ve found I enjoy the strategy and challenge of managing/transporting ores and other non-teleportable objects like Hildir chests without portals. But to each their own!)

@amadeuz8196 күн бұрын
The hoe thing is abusing game mechanics thus seen as cheating. So my question is "Why don't just turn down the difficulty or turn off raids then?". For a safe harbor, here again the hoe thing is a nice thing to use and when it doesn't do anything else than keeps your ship safe. I don't think the intention was that every time you land your ship should be destroyed while you explore. Later for teleports just to get that safe spot...

you are entitled to your opinion. play the game as you want

@@SpazzyjonesGaming Not an opinion more like call an exploit an exploit and a question why people don't just modify the server settings more to their liking. Like one said: "No one cares what you do in singleplayer. Just dont use cheats and exploits in multiplayer, and no foul no harm." So if someone ever joins a multiplayer session its good to know that its an exploit because it totally breaks AI and might not be accepted on that server.

Why would resistances cancel eachother out if they stacked..?? What kind of logic is that?
@SpazzyjonesGaming5 ай бұрын
They don't stack. That's the point. The higher resistance cancels out the lower
@thedobosh5 ай бұрын
@@SpazzyjonesGaming yes but in the hipothetical context where they would stack as you said, how would they cancel eachother out? Makes no sense..
@SpazzyjonesGaming5 ай бұрын
@@thedobosh Im a bit confused. Taking the scenario where you are using a poison resistance mead (75% poison dmg reduction) and the root mask (25% poison dmg reduction) you don't get 25+75=100% reduction in poison dmg since they DO NOT stack. the 75 overrides the 25 and you get 75% reduction. In another world where they did stack you would get the 100% reduction but thats not how valheim works.
