I grew up listening to these guys. I always liked their reggae/hip-hop songs more than the ska/punk ones, but that is neither here nor there and it isn't really why I am writing. What surprised me looking at this video was that Brad was born in 1968, he would be 48 years old now! Wow, time flies. Love the people around you because it all happens fast.

Fkn hilarious, all three of them crammed together on that little love seat! Love the Land of the Lost and Hong Kong Phooey references; these dudes are funny as hell. There was just nothing "rock star" about their personalities, they just seem like three brothers goofing around. RIP Brad and Lou Dog.

Gwen Stefani watches these interviews late at night with a tear in her eye...Blake walks in the room and Gwen quickly puts on her best face card, knowing that she'll never have the same love connection she had with Bradley. Blake asks what she is doing while she nonchalanty wipes the tear and exits the video, putting her phone down...oh nothing honey, she's says. I was just watching an old video from years ago and it made me a little sad, remembering a time when things were a lot different and it got me in my feels. As she is saying this, she can't help fight the overwhelming sorrow and guilt she feels for knowing that she is still head over heels in love with a man that she will never seen again, a one in a trillion man..brad.

The self titled album, you can feel the hot summer nights and the sweat in that album… It feels so Southern California/mexican almost. Its an encapsulation of bradleys soul. Not many rockstars can even say theyve made such HIGH ART like sublime did… sublime has the reggae halftime feel and the ‘ska’ vibe, but i would argue that Sublime is neither reggae nor ska. Its a sweaty so-cal mexi summer viiiibe

Bradley. Just epic. I was 14 when he died and grew up on the hill(palos verdes) just up from long beach and sublime was obv a huge influence early on. Was on my way with my best friend to surf a local beach and KROQ broke the news he died that morning. 2 crying teenagers, my pops turned the car around we were devastated. Aint life grand 8 years to that day my best friend died of the same thing. Sublime always in my heart and still my favorite people/band. Absolute legends

Sublime is an amazing band and it's extremely sad that Bradley passed away. He clearly had many issues and it's always the great ones that leave so soon. I have so much respect for Brad, his music and compilation of music genres is legendary.

"Pool Shark" This song warrants an emotional response every time I hear it, beautiful but sad. "Lyin' in my plastic bed thinkin' how things weren't so cool to me my baby like to shoot pool like lyin' naked in my bedroom tying on the dinosaur tonight it used to be so cool now i got the needle and i can shake but i can't breath i take it away but i want more, and more one day i'm gonna lose the war."

Tiny little baby teenagers. My heart is broke in two. I just about got thru. Just about! I lost my best friend when we were 21. We're talking decades ago. You never get over it. Ever. Not when you're all so young. Not even the good parents amoung us knew what to say. We were dumb 21 yr olds and my guy got shot in the head overseas rescuing kids and all our mum's (Yes, I'm London UK) were like - man, our kids just got more experienced than us. And that was just the start. Stupid boomers, my gad.

No the song was actually recorded in 95 and he didn’t have his “Jakob” tattoo yet. He probably just wore one. Plus he had a beard when he died.

Us REAL artists need to take care of our selfs. People keep saying that music and real talent is gone and that's just not true. The drugs are just stronger and we keep looking to drugs to get inspired and thus we keep dying. Bradley is the perfect example. Almost no one outside of cali supported Sublime before he died. Stay sober my fellow originals. The world needs us

He was clearly an addict, you see how he got angry with the interviewer for taking his booze? This interview reminds me of an old RHCP interview back in the early days when they were still doing a lot of drugs, and the interview isnt coherent kind of like this.

in several clips, Brad is doing what is referred to as the "meth dance", the constant moving of arms etc. i mean it was no secret that Sublime was down with a good party, and Brad says in one version of Don't Push : "ice is my best friend tonight, so don't push me too far..." just an observation :)

I have a theory that this is him off heroin, needing booze to make the days easier with temptations and withdrawals
@NobodyQuiteLikeMe
@NobodyQuiteLikeMe 8 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what's going on. He was withdrawing pretty bad here. His thoughts are unchained and spastic. He is sweating and nervous and easily irritated. Its exactly how I used to act when I had to do something somewhat awkward while withdrawing off heroin. And booze always helped when I couldn't score.

i wasn't fortunate enough to have ever met Brad, but regardless, i for some reason feel like i miss him, i guess it's because i love his music so much, i lost my dog a few months ago to old age, hes my best friend, i love him so so much, im still heart broken honestly, but listening and playing to Brads music on my guitar makes me feel a little bit better, it takes me back to the days i used to listen to his music with my little buddy, the days i used to play my guitar with him as my audience, thats probably how Bradley and Louie spent alot of their days, we all miss you Bradley, you and Louie, i miss you too Shadow, i love you so so much mi hermanito querido

Man, I always find myself asking questions like “What would music sound like today if we still had absolute geniuses like Bradley Nowell, Freddie Mercury or Kurt Cobain around contributing to the industry??” 🤔 lol. Like imagine if Bohemian Rhapsody was just Freddie’s FIRST epic poem, and that by now we’d have like 2-3 MORE Bohemian Rhapsody’s in our lives that just require the most powerfully forceful head banging a song can physically bring out in a person lmao 😂 EVEN IF by some completely fucked up, twisted, universe shattering chance you HAVEN’T seen Wayne’s World, you STILL have to pound your head as hard as fuck during that solo haha 😆 I wish we still had those blokes around.
