I have to disagree with the person making the video in this case. It’s very possible he had childhood behavioral issues but fell through the cracks in the system or didn’t have close enough psychiatric care or interest. You don’t have to have it been documented legally or medically for the diagnosis, the behavior just has to have existed. Again, just because nobody wrote it down or payed attention doesn’t mean he’s ineligible for that diagnosis.

@@WookieWarriorz The DSM only says persistent/long-term pattern, not that it has to be officially documented which is what the way he phrased it seems to indicate to the viewer. I’m not arguing with the definition itself, as yes psychologists and psychiatrists and other medical doctors much smarter and longer studied than us, have determined. I’m just arguing with the matter of fact way he stated the ineligibility for that diagnosis. There are other ways to determine if it’s a pattern or persistent, through investigation of history via witnesses, family, classmates, etc or even subsequent longer term monitoring, especially if they’re giving him another diagnosis anyways that would mean long term psychiatric care.

Hasan doesn't seem to understand that the interrogator is not supposed to talk that much. The suspect needs to do all the talking so that the police can get as much information as they can to make sure the suspect isn't lying for someone, suspect isn't falsely accused, and so on. If the interrogator does all the talking, its either because the suspect is refusing to speak, or they're using the Reid Technique, which is proven to lead to countless false accusations and false confessions.

I find it odd that they start complaining about the length even tho they can see the length before they click on it. And even if it’s not what they thought it would be, they shouldn’t bad mouth the video just because it’s not their style. Idk it’s weird. They do 9 hour live streams and complain at the 45 minute mark of a video

Reason for insignificant questions: You want to make sure every pokey object possible is in his coffin because if the big nail falls out, we want 10,000 thumbtacks still holding the lid on. Plus when they started talking about the insignificant questions, they had him for murder but hadn't really proven premeditation yet. He claimed it was premeditated but they still need the details of the actual process and decisions made while he planned. Also its alot more common than you would think for people to make false confessions and small details would help detect/prevent this.

My sister has schizo-affective disorder bipolar type. She is not violent, and knows right from wrong, but she is pretty manipulative. She essentially doesn't care about anything that doesn't directly benefit her. Usually schizo-affective disorder isn't diagnosable till around the age of 21 and thats when she was diagnosed because she had a manic episode that also involved auditory hallucinations. I want people to understand that people with these disorders are not always violent, its a small percentage, and they're not always assholes

I think what Rae is trying to say is that this dude is straightforward versus other murderers who lie and try to hide or twist facts to benefit themselves. So his highly unusual behavior compared to a sane person ends up feeling strangely "normal" as though he's just a regular guy talking to his friend about the facts of some non-serious event that took place last night. He comes across as "normal" because he's talking to the officers as though this murder he has committed is just a normal thing and he's not trying to save his own ass similar to how you and your friends would talk about that time you went to the bar and had some beers and you were trying to figure out what happened that night cuz you got black out drunk and are trying to piece things together.

I don’t think Rae will ever see this but they are asking him basic questions to lock him into a verdict, in this case I believe premeditation. The officer is asking a lot of “you planned this x amount of time ahead, you decided it was victim x amount of days ago, etc”

47:46 COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE CASE, but i have Burning Tongue Syndrome, and soda burns for me. but ironically enough, thats why i like soda. its WAY more refreshing to have soda that quite literally is spicy enough to cause my eyes to water and roll to the back of my head-- compared to coffee. but that also isnt quite fair, because my form of ADHD is because my brain isnt wired right (in the sense of. it wasnt genetic or enviornmental. its a "my brain is mentally ill" thing) and that causes me to react the opposite way to ALL stimulants, including caffine and sugar. (A RAMBLE ABOUT MY BURNING TONGUE SYNDROME BELOW) . . . the reason i have burning tongue syndrome is because of nerve damage, and because of that, when i rub my taste rubs across my teeth, or across the roof of my mouth-- it ALWAYS has that feeling like you burnt your tongue. but its ONLY if im putting pressure on it, and its not PAINFUL-- its litearlly just the feeling of those taste buds... not... working? i'm not really sure, and neither is the research on burning tongue syndrome. salt is spicy for me. its not like a proper spicy food where its spicy all at once. with salt, its this build up, like a slightly-spicer-than-usual-mild sauce. and the more salt/salt covered food i eat, the more pain my tongue will feel.

The sheriff is trying to get every last tiny detail, because the less he has to change the easier it is to use the confession and make sure the defense cannot twist anything or change the story just enough to get him out of it or lessen the sentence, or claim insanity. It is also possible that the sheriff believes/ knows he is lying and is trying to induce enough mental fatigue to catch him out.

If I remember this case correctly, this is only his first murder. His lack of empathy and remorse is a clear sign of sociopathic tendencies. He was likely so messy with it not because he wasn't smart but because it was his first murder. Most serial killers in the interviews they have done mention that their first kill wasn't clean. It took time for them to perfect their methods. He didn't think this one through, and that's a good thing for the police and everyone else because now he can't do it again. For him, though, even the one kill is enough for him to be proud. I don't recall hearing a motive in this video, but people who kill for the sake of killing and not in self defense or some other form of justifiable means don't usually need a motive. Motive implies they have something to gain by committing the act. Satisfaction or pleasure could be argued as motive but it's not often strong enough as a motive without a mental condition associated with it. The cop asking alot for the questions he did isn't just to have a chat because a confession by itself is not always enough to convict someone. You almost always need more information because confessions by themselves could be argued as forced, coerced, etc. To make a fair trial and have the jury convict they'll need more information and having a lot of the back story if you will, like what streets they turned down helps determine if the suspect could have actually done the crime and if the confession matches the evidence or not.

This guy doesn’t feel either pride or shame at what he did. He is very devoid of emotion. He is very analytical and describes the event to the slightest detail, he doesn’t lie to the police as regards the actual crime. He may lie about his motivations for the crime. But as far as what happened, he tells the truth in meticulous detail. Almost as if he’s got a photographic memory and is reliving it as he is recounting it. When they ask him what the punishment for his crime should be, he unhesitatingly says “the death penalty,” which has me taken aback. Maybe in some weird way he wants that to happen next? Murderers don’t usually embrace the thought of being executed with open arms. I am convinced he had nothing personal against the victim. It was merely a matter of convenience for him, which is one reason why he is so mentally and emotionally messed up.

definitely not normal for murderers. he doesnt act as if its a normal day or what he would normally do, he indifferent. thats what so off putting about it. He murdered a guy, no remorse and no self preservation and remained indifferent about everything that will happen from that point and what has happened in his life because he is indifferent about literally everything to the most miniscule detail. i dont know what he has been diagnosed with but even in most murders this is not the norm, like not at all. No remorse, in a lot of murders is pretty common. But absolutely no self preservation or care about that at all and willingly just telling the sheriff/police everything is not even remotely normal in murderer cases, atleast not without pressure (which is still kinda rare to just get an outright confession from a murderer).

@@NagaSadow97 they’re assuming. Anytime Rae gets close with a man and collabs a lot with them, the people who ship/hate come out. Sykkuno, Noah, Hasan, Blau, toast, Corpse, any more I’m forgetting. You can assume they’re dating, or think it, but to state it as fact, is wrong. They have never confirmed nor denied a relationship.

@@WakeAtDawn Oh, okay. Tbh it doesn't really matter to me either way. I just thought it was weird to see them collab because they didn't do much of anything together when i still watched them often. And yeah i was there for the whole Sykkuno shipping phase, some people still do that too. Though i guess i can kind of understand how people could think that since most people don't act like "siblings" with people they've known only for a short time.

He was legally diagnosed as insane and unable to stand trial. That doesn't mean he just goes free. He will spend his life in a mental institute. Even for lesser crimes, if you are deemed unable to stand trial you will likely spend more time in a mental institute than you would have in a prison. It's not a good defence, especially if it's untrue.
