oh, that's expected with twitch streamers, i've been watching a lot of people play this game, and so far, Vtubers seem to be the ones that pay more attention to the story, while there isn't a single twitch streamer i've seen do something similar, mostly because of chat which i can't blame them, but yeah.

Rae had such a good time with this game, it makes me wish she'd play the Silent Hill Remake, since so much of this game is an homage to it.

my two cents is, jimmy was 100% already mentally disturbed. his raping anya and getting her pregnant plus the imminent job termination meant that he had no prospects once they got back to earth. swansea & daisuke would for sure testify & put him in jail, even if curly would try to cover his ass. in jimmy's mind he probably thought that killing himself & everyone else was the solution. if curly hadn't gotten to the controls & maybe threw up emergency shields or danger protocols etc, they would've all been space debris. sorry this got long, i haven't stopped thinking about this game ever since i first played it.

jimmy is a narcissist who can't take responsibility for his own actions. He crashes the ship because he thinks all of them dying in space is better than him going to jail for raping Anya. When they drop off their payload, they have no job afterwards as the company goes under, meaning Anya can't have Jimmy hang over her head that he is her superior, so he will definitely get reported for the act, plus there is going to be a baby he is responsible for which he doesn't want either.
